  Overall, I really enjoyed getting to explore the very beautiful cities of Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava and Prague. I met some really great people in the group and felt like a got to see a good highlight of each area. I felt the tour was good value for what it included and generally speaking, had a reasonable timetable. However there were some issues to be noted. As mentioned in many reviews, our group of english speaking people was relatively small (10), probably due to the time of year, so we were partnered with another group, who were spanish speaking. This was not really a concern because there was a representative for each group who presented information in each language. The issue arose because the spanish-speaking group had meals included in their itinerary while ours did not, and so our outlined schedule was constantly being changed to accommodate their timelines. We completely missed out on exploring the Vaci utca (free time) in Budapest because the bus was late arriving and the other group had lunch booked for a certain time. We did not have any free time whatsoever in Budapest, not even for a quick souvenir shop. Another example was in Prague. We were supposed to check-in at the hotel after a long day of driving before going to the Old Town Square to have free time for dinner. Once again, we were late arriving and so the decision was made (not asked) that we would go directly to the Old Town Square as the other group had dinner plans for a certain time and not have the chance to stop first at our rooms to change, etc. On previous bus trip I've taken, there was an effort made to have people rotate seats so that different people could have the view at the front, but in this case the same two couples took those seats each time. Just a suggestion for the future. Lastly, the tour is advertised as Low Intensity (Travelers can expect some light physical activities.) It should be noted that the walking tours in Budapest and Prague are 2-3 hours in length and at a fairly steady pace, with many sets of stairs. This would be good information for people to be aware of.Show more

Whenever help or advice was needed the tour leaders were there in a flash. Could not ask for a better tour operator. Will definitely use Europamundo on our next trip.   This was a discount trip so I did not expect much. The tour offered airport pick up and drop off. I got neither. I came a few days early and stayed later. I would have liked to stay in the tour hotels, but I did not know the hotels until a few days before leaving. That meant I had to change hotels when I should not have had to. For the city tour in Vienna, we were dumped at the Opera House instead of being taken back to the hotel. Many of the people did not have data on their phones, So they had no way to call an Uber. I was charged $40 to share a room. Why? I have never had a tour do this. I actually wanted a private room. I was fine with lots of free time, But the lack of communication was stunning. Many of us did not know the name of our hotel in Budapest. We were all saying what are we going to do if we are late to the meeting point. We have no idea where we are staying. People did get left behind. One day in Vienna a family six was left at one of the castles. They also did not have data on their phone, so getting back to the hotel was an issue.Show more

Regarding room assignment, Europamundo books accommodations strictly according to the rooming request received from the selling agency at the time of booking. If a shared room was assigned and you were expecting a single room, this would reflect the room type requested by the agency on your behalf. Any change or clarification regarding a single-room request must therefore be addressed directly with the agency that handled your reservation. Concerning airport transfers, these services are arranged only when complete arrival and departure details are provided in advance. In this case, Europamundo did not receive the necessary confirmed flight information, which is why arrival and departure transfers could not be scheduled. Without these details, it is not possible to reserve transfer services. With respect to hotel information, hotel names are available up to 48 hours prior to each stay through the “My Trip” link, as clearly communicated before purchase. Regarding the Vienna city tour, the itinerary includes a scheduled free afternoon. Passengers are dropped off in a central area (Opera House), allowing them to explore independently and return to the hotel at their convenience. This is a planned feature of the tour and is clearly stated in advance for days marked as free time without return transfers. Finally, while we regret any inconvenience related to personal connectivity, travelers are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate means of communication during the trip, especially when traveling internationally.   The tour was well worth the money we paid. Karim our guide was patient, professional and helpful. He was the sort of guide that you want directing you through the process and the cities. The optional shows that were offered were well worth it - we enjoyed our Budapest dancing dinner show. The Grinzing district in the middle of autumn is probably something that should be replaced - I don’t think too many people opted to go here. There wasn’t too much time dedicated to Bratislava- even though our day was marred with rain this could be a destination that could be extended. I’m Prague we were separated into two hotels - one was a 4 star hotel the other a 3 star. Was wondering why this was the case. I was also wondering if there couldn’t have been opportunities to bond as a group in some capacity. A dinner/ lunch? where we could introduce ourselves. Overall, we enjoyed our experience. Both karim and our driver were very good. Karim made sure instructions were clear and the itinerary transparent.Show more

  The trip is well designed to cover all the important locations in the cities that we visited. The arrangement of the hotels was also very well done, nice and clean hotels with good locations. The transport and the guides was very well managed, the guides spoke good English and the travel plan was very well explained. Sometimes it felt a bit rushed to have more time to see different locations. The message for the new joiners on the first day was not very clear. There was a board in the hotel lobby with the message written only in Spanish which was confusing. Later on when there was contact with the guides, things went very well.Show more

  Overall, I really liked the tour, but I'd like to share a few remarks. Everything started ok in Vienna except for one thing. The tour was supposed to start on September 5th. I arrived on September 4th and spent one day in Vienna by myself. On September 5th I expected some activity because according to the tour itinerary, we were supposed to have "SOME FREE TIME in the afternoon ". In reality, the entire day on September 5th was free. I think the wording should be changed to "upon arrival, you will have a free afternoon/evening and there will be no activities on day 1". I really liked the hotel in Vienna. The location was so so, but the hotel met my expectations. The tour guide Romana was nice and knowledgeable. I also really enjoyed my stay in Budapest. I loved the hotel, and the tour guide Marco (he had a different Hungarian name) was very pleasant with advanced English and a deep knowledge of Astro Hungarian history. Then after our trip to Budapest things stsrted to change. We got a new guide Eric (who was much easier to understand than Hermán), we got a bunch of new Spanish speakers on the bus. For that reason Eric had to speak both languages on the way to Bratislava and Prague. Then our group got divided in Prague. Some people went to Panorama hotel which was very nice, and others, including me, were asked to go to Zleep Hotel in Prague which wasn't nearly an equivalent. Then a disaster began. We had a bus full of Spanish speakers (61 people on the bus). I understand Spanish, but I signed up for an English tour. The tour guide (i forgot his name - he had long hair and tattoos) had to speak mostly Spanish. A lot of people complained about it, especially Travellers from Southern Asia. Some Spanish speakers were way too loud and inconsiderate of others reclining their chairs all the way down, etc. The local guide Felix was incredible. I could tell he loved his job and was very knowledgeable about Czech history. He was very polite and pleasant. His English was very advanced as well. The second part of the Prague tour seemed to be rushed..I didn't understand why they switched Hermàn with Eric and then Javier, and why only a part of my initial group went to Zleep Hotel.Show more

  Overall Imperial Capitals experience was very good. Entire tour was very organized and on time. Included walking tours in all three capitals: Vienna, Budapest and Prague were excellent. Local guides were all excellent, especially Mario in Budapest was exceptional. The amount of knowledge and efforts these guides show in all three countries were unbelievable. Hotels were average. They were not centrally located but local transportations were available. It would be nicer if using those transportations were explained more in details. Our guides Jermen, Eric and Mariano were very helpful and friendly.. The only reason we gave it a 4 star is because of the hotels. Also we thought half board food was incuded in out package,but only breakfasts were ihcluded.We wished the optional classical music concert was offered at Vienna's Opera house. The Hungerian dinner/dance optional was lovely but dinner could be better quality. Overall we had a very good time.Show more
