After leaving Windhoek, you'll drive roughly 410 to 450 km into the Namib Desert. The next two nights take place in NamibRand Nature Reserve, where you can choose between Greenfire Desert Camp if you're doing the camping option or Kronenhof Lodge for a more traditional accommodation setup. Both locations put you in a remote desert setting with incredible dark skies for stargazing at night. The drive itself is long, so expect to spend a good portion of the day on the road before settling in. Once you arrive, the isolation and quiet of the desert creates a real contrast to life back in the city, and there's not much around for miles, which is exactly the point here.
