Itinerary
- Day 1
Budapest
You'll arrive at Budapest airport and head to the Four Seasons Gresham Palace hotel to settle in before starting your journey.

- Day 2
Budapest to Vienna
After checking out, you'll transfer to the Golden Eagle Danube Express heading to Vienna. Lunch happens aboard the train, then you'll either take a horse-drawn carriage through Vienna's Old Town, check out Schönbrunn Palace, or wander on your own. Later this evening, you'll attend a private concert with the Vienna Supreme Orchestra.

Vienna to Innsbruck
The train departs Vienna this morning on a scenic Alpine route through central Austria. You'll travel over the Semmering Pass with its viaducts and tunnels, pass through the ski village of Kitzbühel, then drive to Lake Achen for a cruise. By evening you'll arrive in Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, known for winter sports and Alpine architecture.

- Day 4
Innsbruck to Zurich
You'll travel through the Vorarlberg region, pass through St. Anton, cross into Liechtenstein, and head into Switzerland along Lake Zurich before arriving in the city. After settling in, you'll have a traditional Swiss fondue tasting experience.

Zurich to Lake Como
Leaving Zurich, you'll pass Lakes Zug and Lucerne before climbing to the St. Gotthard Pass. After going through the St. Gotthard tunnel and descending toward Lugano, you'll arrive at Lake Como for lunch on the water. Then you'll take a boat cruise around the lake and visit Bellagio.

Lake Como to Trieste
The train follows the south shore of Lake Garda to Verona, where you'll have a walking tour of the city's famous sites. Lunch is served onboard as you head to Trieste. You'll tour Miramare Castle and Piazza Unità d'Italia, then visit the Church of San Giusto to see its Byzantine architecture and mosaics.

Trieste to Ljubljana
Early on, you'll enjoy Alpine scenery as the train climbs from Trieste, crosses into Slovenia, and ascends through the Julian Alps to Lake Bled. Later you'll arrive in Ljubljana for onboard lunch. Your afternoon tour covers Preseren Square, the Three Bridges, and the Dragon Bridge, mixing ancient architecture with the city's youthful culture.

Ljubljana to Venice
You'll start with a private visit to the Postojna Caves. After reboarding, the train heads south toward Venice. Once there, you'll check into the Kempinski San Clemente Palace on its own private island. The rest of the day is yours to explore Venice at your own pace, just minutes from Piazza San Marco.

Venice
After checking out, you'll board the S.S. La Venezia to begin your 7-night cruise on the Venetian Lagoon.
- Day 10
Venice
You'll arrive early at Doge's Palace to explore without crowds. Then you'll walk through an authentic Venetian neighborhood to see how locals live. This evening features an exclusive after-hours lighting ceremony inside St. Mark's Basilica without the usual crowds.

Vicenza / Padua to Burano
Your morning takes you to one of two UNESCO World Heritage cities in the Veneto region, either Vicenza or Padua. In the afternoon, you'll rejoin the ship for sailing across the lagoon toward Mazzorbo and Burano. Later, you'll stroll through Burano after most tourists have left to see the brightly painted fishermen's cottages.

Or you can spend your afternoon watching glassblowing artisans on Murano create their work.

Chioggia
Your day is in charming coastal Chioggia, including a stop at the local market. You can choose from several options: take a traditional bragozzo boat ride with tastings at Ca' Zen, visit the market, bike through town, explore a noble country villa and its wines, or visit Palazzo Goldoni.

Your water taxi glides past narrow side canals and the Canal Grande to reach the iconic Rialto Bridge, a famous stone arch at the narrowest point of the canal.
