I am really interested in this itinerary. But it doesn't provide the detailed information on the day-to-day accommodation. I would like to have clarifications on 1. the differences between hotel, guesthouse, hostel, and pension; 2. the style of accommodation in each city, 3. how many non-private bathroom nights in total.

Accommodation on this trip is on a twin/multishare basis. Hotels in Europe often don't have double beds and rooms can be small. Some of the accommodation used on this trip have shared bathrooms. City Hotel Budapest is located in the heart of Budapest, near the opera house, with 24 hour reception, a bar and breakfast area, and rooms include private bathrooms, TV, Wi-Fi access and hairdryer.

  We do have various trip styles, some which allow more free time vs structured included activities to allow for the group to choose what they would like to do in their free time. During any free days or afternoons you may have, optional activities will be presented to you by your trip leader. You can choose from the options or if there is something you really wanted to do in a certain city, advise your trip leader and they will do their best to assist you with organizing that as well. This flexibility allows everyone to make the best of their own trip and ensure that people are checking off their highest priority sights or activities in each destination. We do have an 8 day 'Premium Balkans' tour that would have a bit more structure and included activities along the way if this is something you're interested in.
