It involved a lot of driving, but to travel from Casablanca to Chefchaouen to Fes to the Desert and Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert was a long way and if you don't have much time, this is the ideal way to see a lot of Morocco. Our tour guide was Sabir. He made the trip truly very special and took the time to describe the highlights of each town we were in and stop so we can take a lot of pictures. He gave us advice on the culture and customs and helped us with special requests. Our tour included a couple private walking tours in Fes which was handled completely by Sabir and the company and allowed us to not worry about scheduling and transportation so we can just fully enjoy the experience. Yes, there is a ton of driving but it’s worth it and you can learn more about the areas you’re in by talking to your guide during the drive. I can’t thank him enough and can’t stop talking about my trip to Morocco!!!Show more

Expensive for what you get! This is not so much a negative review – but more of an informative review as we thought it was important to point out what the itinerary does not. The journey times are not stipulated on the itinerary, which is a shame as we would not have booked this tour due to its many hours on the road. Also, the time spent at each place felt a little short and there were no official lunch stops, so just wanted to give a few tips and pointers on all of these. The mosque in Casablanca is amazing; our driver gave us 1 hour for the visit, but I would ask for a little more time so the visit is not rushed. Casablanca to Rabat: 1 hour drive. You get to spend abut 30 minutes for this visit, please feel free to ask the driver for more time. Rabat to Chefchaouen: 4 to 4.5 hours drive. The drive itself is not very exciting as there’s not much to see. Please feel free to ask your driver to use the A/C if not on. Our driver did not like to have music on in the vehicle so it was rather a long and boring drive. There are no official lunch stops on this drive, so be prepared. We did stop off at a motorway service station for some food as we asked. Chefchaouen to Fes: 5 hour drive. Once again, there was not much to see on this drive, so it felt super long. No lunch stops. If you feel like your driver is driving dangerously, do ask for them to slow down. We had a negative experience where this was concerned as our driver was constantly tailgating and occasionally over taking on blind bends. A white knuckle ride! We did have words and he was very accepting of our concerns and tamed his driving considerably. Fes to Merzouga Desert: 8 hour drive. Merzouga Desert to Marrakech: 10 hour drive. Apparently the drives on these routes were more picturesque, but we decided to leave the tour at Fes as we couldn’t stand being in the car for all of those hours. So we can’t comment on the rest of the tour. Otherwise, we’d say that Chefchaouen and Fes were amazing places to visit. Accommodation was mediocre, but acceptable, but for the cost of the tour, it could have been better. One last tip; the guide in Fes will take you to the tannery where you might get sucked in to buying leather goods, please don’t feel pressure to buy anything as we got totally ripped off there, paying well over the odds for some items. Hopefully you will be better at haggling than we were. The guide gets 50% commission on all sales, so beware. You also get taken to the pottery where of course there is another shop where you can buy goods. We did email the issues we encountered to TourRadar, but we were unsuccessful in getting compensation as the tour that was described was carried out.Show more

For tours departing after May 14th, 2026, a minimum payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking with Morocco Custom Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
