Everything was so well organised we could just relax and ride the bikes. We hired bikes and they were in great condition and gave us no problems- I would definitely recommend this holiday. The accomodation was excellent too.

Absolute must. Everything from beginning to end was top notch. Stephan's availability and commitment to making this an extraordinary experience was much appreciated. With very short notice he was able to put together a tailored trip to meet all of our requirements.

Best time to visit Austria and Italy
- Spring 2026
Spring comes alive as mountain flowers start blooming and cafe terraces reopen. Our April-May departures let you experience both sides of the Alps - first exploring Rome's ancient sites and Florence's Renaissance art without the crowds, then heading north as mountain passes clear. The Lucerne-to-Vienna routes work especially well in spring when the solar-powered cable car up Mount Stanserhorn runs and local rangers help spot native wildlife. You'll catch prosecco tastings right as family wineries bottle new vintages and see Venice before summer fills the canals.

- Summer 2026
Summer brings long days perfect for exploring from Rome to Budapest. Our travelers love the evening activities - boat rides on the Danube in Budapest, dinner in Vienna's Grinzing wine village and late-night ghost tours through Venice's quiet canals. The mountain sections open up completely; you can take lake cruises past Austrian castles on Traunsee and explore high trails around Kitzbühel. Our guides know how to balance indoor and outdoor time - visiting St. Peter's Basilica early to avoid crowds then spending afternoons in shaded piazzas, mixing cultural sites with cool breaks.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Fall catches Italy and Austria at their most atmospheric. Our travelers follow the wine harvest through Veneto's prosecco country, stopping at family wineries to learn the art of making the perfect Bellini. The mild weather suits city walks - ideal for food tours through Rome's Trastevere district and market visits in Florence. Mountain areas like Innsbruck and Salzburg show their golden colors, while Vienna's parks turn lovely shades of amber. These autumn routes mix food experiences with cultural highlights nicely - start your day at a Viennese coffee house, explore Hofburg Palace and finish at a traditional tavern in the wine hills.
