  Unfortunately there is no direct flight from Sal to Fogo. To explain better, we use Santiago island (Praia) as the hub of the country. So, the flights are short of 30 min, to reach Fogo you need to land in Praia first and later take another flight to Fogo Island.

  I am thinking about adjusting my travel plan and making my holiday more of a tour by going island hopping independently by boat. So I would like to know whether the original tour from December 1 to December 4 is final?

  Ferry are constantly cancelled and it is not a pleasant trip especially if the sea is rough. A trip from Sal to Fogo would take at least 2 days, as you must from Sal To Boa Vista (4 Hours) after that take a 6 hours trip to Santiago. Next the last 4 hours trip to Fogo, you will need at least a free day in Fogo first to recover. There is no direct ferries from Sal to Fogo.

  It sounds too complicated. So I think it's better I do not travel to Fogo. I will look for another island and another trip. Maybe go to Sao Vicente and Santa Antao.

- For any tour departing before June 10th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 10th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with BuCountry Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
