Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Dharapani
Your trip kicks off with a scenic drive from Kathmandu heading toward Dharapani. The road takes you through the Marshyangdi River valley where you'll pass lush green hills, terraced fields, and traditional Nepali villages. As you climb, the mountain views start opening up, and you get a real sense of what's coming on the trek ahead.

Dharapani to Chame
The trek begins with a gradual climb through dense pine forests. You'll cross several suspension bridges along the way, and the trail offers views of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal as you move forward. Before reaching Chame, the administrative center of Manang district, you'll pass the iconic Paungda Danda rock face which is hard to miss.

Chame to Pisang
Today involves a steady ascent through pine and fir forests with the Marsyangdi River crossing you multiple times. As you gain elevation, the landscape gradually opens up and becomes more arid. By the time you reach Pisang, you'll have great views of Annapurna II and IV spread out in front of you.

Pisang to Manang
The route splits into two options here. You can take the lower path through Hongde or choose the upper route via Ghyaru, which is more challenging but gives you panoramic views and passes through villages with Tibetan influence. After that, you'll arrive in Manang where there are local monasteries to visit and the village itself to explore.

- Day 5
Manang (Acclimatization Day)
This is your acclimatization day at higher elevation. You can take optional short hikes to nearby viewpoints or visit Gangapurna Lake if you're feeling good. Spending time here helps your body adjust to the altitude and reduces the chance of getting altitude sickness as you continue higher.

Landmarks Gangapurna Lake - Day 6
Manang to Yak Kharka
From Manang, you'll gradually ascend toward Yak Kharka moving through alpine landscapes. The trail passes through small settlements and yak pastures, and you'll get ongoing views of the mountains. This day's trek is relatively short compared to some others on the route.

Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi
You're heading toward Thorong Phedi, which is basically your jumping-off point for crossing the pass tomorrow. The trail has a gradual ascent with a suspension bridge crossing and some steep sections where you'll want to take your time. Spending today getting here and resting up helps prepare you for the challenging day ahead.

Landmarks Thorong La Pass - Day 8
Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (Thorong La Pass)
Start very early and head up to cross Thorong La Pass, the highest point on this trek. It's a tough climb but the payoff is incredible panoramic views of the whole Annapurna range. After reaching the pass, you'll descend to Muktinath, a site that's sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists.

Muktinath to Pokhara
After breakfast, you'll drive from Muktinath down to Pokhara, dropping from arid landscapes to lush green valleys and going from 3,800m down to 820m/2,690ft. Once you arrive in Pokhara, spend time relaxing by Phewa Lake and soaking in the lakeside atmosphere before your trip winds down.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
You'll take a scenic flight from Pokhara back to Kathmandu with aerial views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges spread out below. In Kathmandu, you can wander through vibrant markets, check out historical sites, or just rest and think back on everything you experienced during the Annapurna Circuit Trek.
