I'm a 51 year old female looking to join your next trip. I would like to verify availability and any other important details - like recommended ways to join the group - i.e. fly into which airport and is there a way to arrange transport to the hotel. Where possible, I am looking to upgrade accommodation. After the trip ends, I would love to know recommendations to get to see Victoria falls. This is a bit of a last minute idea, so I have alot to organise such as flights, visas, vaccinations etc in a short period of time. Any assistance appreciated!

The tour begins in Kampala, Uganda. Travellers typically fly into Entebbe International Airport (EBB), which services Kampala. From there, you can arrange a taxi or private transfer to the joining hotel (approximately 45–60 minutes depending on traffic). We can also request a pre-arranged airport transfer through G Adventures if you would prefer this organised in advance. As this is a participation camping tour, accommodation throughout the trip is primarily in two-person dome tents with shared bathroom facilities. In some locations, basic permanent facilities may be used. Unfortunately, upgrade options during the camping portion are very limited. Requesting a single supplement (subject to availability) if you prefer your own tent. Given the departure date is approaching, I recommend urgently checking: Visa requirements for Uganda, Kenya (if applicable), and Tanzania. Yellow fever requirements (often mandatory for entry in East Africa). Routine and recommended travel vaccinations. Comprehensive travel insurance. I can assist with general guidance, but you may also wish to consult your GP or a travel health clinic as soon as possible. At the end of the tour (which concludes in Arusha, Tanzania), the most efficient way to visit Victoria Falls would be to fly from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha to either: Victoria Falls Airport (Zimbabwe), or Livingstone Airport (Zambia). Both provide access to Victoria Falls.

It was a good tour: think the accommodation could be better though for the price we paid. Small fans in large rooms don't work in hot weather. The meals were good. The guides were good & kept everything rolling. Didn't have much luck with the game viewing (except for elephants & hippos) but the mountain gorilla & chimpanzee treks were amazing. And these 2 excursions are what made the trip so good. (These kind of trips can be hit & miss. )Show more
