    Asked on March 4th, 2026

I'm considering a trip solo or with my son, and ideally would be a mix of camping and hotels. Is that mix possible?

    Accommodation
    Group size
    • Bindlestiff ToursOperatorWritten March 2026

Unfortunately, when booked through a third-party provider, you are not able to mix and match camping with hotels you must choose one or the other.

We offer an any day departure for groups of 8 or more paid seats that doesn't mean there has to be 8 guests in your party, it just means you have to pay for a minimum of 8 paid seats to have a fully private adventure - please inquire if you think this option is a good fit for you.

This tour visits Zion, Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon (optional extra $90-$125pp), Horseshoe Bend and the Grand Canyon. There are walking and hiking opportunities on this tour. Your tour guide will help you choose a walk/hike that suits your abilities and interests. You may also opt for gentle strolls and sightseeing, and perhaps take in some exhibits or a ranger talk if you decide not to walk at all.

The luggage allowance for this tour is up to 20kgs (44lbs) per person, either a hard case or a backpack plus a small day bag for your camera, sunscreen etc.

I have an overactive bladder and at night time I may need to go use the bathroom three or four times. Being out in the wilderness may not work depending where the bathrooms are located. I'd like to learn how hotel option works and how close to the restrooms would I be?

    • Bindlestiff ToursOperatorWritten December 2025

The hotel option for one person is $3525. For the camping- campgrounds are not in the wilderness they are at full service campgrounds so the toilet is never more than a few meters. We can often accommodate a solo tent also if that reassures you- simply email us directly once booked and we will add that note- there is no extra fee if we are able to accommodate the solo tent for you.

I'm travelling on my own and will be in LA on the 5th of August. I'll be in Las Vegas around the 8th of August, can you fit me on a tour on the 10th?

    • Bindlestiff ToursOperatorWritten June 2025

The departure on August 10th has plenty of availability and is available to book.

Would it be possible to join the tour as a tour manager after booking? Would I get paid for that? Would I be able to work for you as a tour manager for other trips? Would my flight and hotel be free if I come as a tour manager?
