The hotels on this tour are included as part of the overall trip cost, and because the reservations are made for the group, we're unfortunately not able to offer upgraded hotel options on this style of trip. If upgraded accommodations are a priority for you, we'd be happy to recommend some alternative trip styles that may be a better fit—such as our National Geographic Journeys or Geluxe tours, which feature higher-end hotels.

What is the contact information for the tour guide for Best of Java tour starting in Jakarta?

Upon arrival at Erian Hotel, look for a note or bulletin board in reception with details about the Welcome Meeting. The meeting is usually between 5pm and 7pm, where you'll meet your CEO and other travelers and learn about the tour. If no note is visible, ask reception for details.

Do you do private tours of Java, similar to the Best of Java tour?

We do offer private departures on certain tours but the minimum required group size that is required to make it a private departure is between 8-12 people. If you are only one, the pricing will get charged for 8-12people accordingly, making it very expensive.

Do you receive us at the Jakarta airport at the beginning of the trip and send us back to the Bali airport at the end of the trip?

Arrival and departure transfers are not included in the price of the trip. They can be purchased as at an additional cost. If you would like to know the cost, please advise your preferred currency to be quoted in.

Visas are the responsibility of the traveller, these are not something that we can source for you.

Can you propose a private tour for 2 to central Java including other cities in the region for about 10 days. Start return either Jakarta or Yogyakarta. Please quote price and what are included.

  What is the situation with tours in January as I believe that it is the month with the heaviest rain in Java? Will we be restricted in the areas we can travel to because of the rain? I am 72 years old, though reasonably fit for my age, is this tour suitable and are their increased risks of falling during the rainy season?

Safety is our priority so should the itinerary have any safety risks due to heavy weather the local office will advise us and we will adjust accordingly.
