We saw all the animals we anticipated for and many more in our 10 day Safari exploring Masai Mara and the other major Parks in Kenya, our accommodations were wonderful and all the meals were great, we had a great time. Our experience was great. We went to 8 parks over the 12 days. We saw hundreds of elephants, zebras, buffalo, and...
Our experience was great. We went to 8 parks over the 12 days. We saw hundreds of elephants, zebras, buffalo, and wildebeests. Lots of times from 10 feet away in our pop-up Land Cruiser. We saw 2 Rhinos from distances of 400 feet, the Rhino is a rare creature. We saw 5 leopards and watched one hunt. Watch another with his dinner in a tree. We saw 3 cheetahs. We saw lots of giraffes. We saw 20 lions, lionesses or cubs. We saw 1 lioness complete a hunt. We had 3 guides as we traveled from Kenya to Tanzania and back to Kenya. The guides can only work in one country. We made a huge circle from park to park, starting and ending in Nairobi. Our first guide was Daniel, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Had an eagle eye for spotting animals. Our second guide was Harun, he was even more knowledgeable not only about the animals, but culture, the county, and history. We were extremely impressed by Harun. Because we went to so many places, we stayed in a lot of lodges and tented camps. We booked last minute which made it a little challenging for the operator to get the best locations as they fill up quickly. My family loved the tented camps in the park, they were definitely "glamping"....Sound of Nature camp was our #1 stop with 24x7 solar power and hot water. Most lodges ran on diesel generators, so power was limited to 2 hours in the morning and 3 hours at night. You spend most of your time on game drives...so limited power isn't an issue. The food at the last place was amazing, homemade pizza and Naan bread. They even celebrated our wedding anniversary with us. The one negative is the roads. Most of the roads we traveled on were gravel, with a heavy rainy season, there are HUGE holes, be prepared to jostle a lot. Make sure to bring your yellow fever card, there seems to be a scam at the border crossing that is $50/pp for them to give you a card. When you cross the immigration officials said the card isn't needed. .Show more

After doing a group tour in southern Africa the previous year we realised that this time we wanted to maximise the time spent in the national parks with the animals so Kenya was perfect. I was looking for a longer trip, around 3 weeks, that was packed with safari days. There were only a few companies I could find doing longer trips that included Tsavo N.P. We wanted to go to Tanzania as part of the trip, specifically the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. I found Gracepatt on Tourradar as they had a perfect trip listed. We had amazing communication and flexibility when booking, allowing me to get my dream trip to everywhere I wanted to go for a suitable budget and timeframe. Sam at Gracepatt will make sure your trip is exactly what you want, you won’t just be another booking as you will be with some other companies. We also contacted a larger company who were too pushy to get the sale, only focusing on telling us how many reviews they had. We had separate guides and vehicles in Kenya and Tanzania but we had a great time in both. Our guides were both very experienced, friendly and professional (and we had a really great time with them). Thanks to the knowledge and networking of our guides, the overload of animals we saw made sure that our cameras were never put away. We will go back for another trip in a few years and we will talk to Gracepatt Ecotours Kenya because they listened to what we wanted and we trust them to deliver a great trip.Show more

  1) Is the tour offered only here through TourRadar ? 2) What happens if you don't get minimum travelers needed to operate the tour ? 3) What's the cancellation policy ? 4) In Sep/Oct, it seems we will just see the wildebeests in Masai Mara or Serengeti. We won't see the actual Mara river crossing. For that, if we book the tour in late Jul/Aug, will we be able to see the Mara river crossing ?

  Not sure if you read one specific - do you expect a min number of travelers per trip ? Because I'm just 1 (adult), what happens if I'm the only one signed up for that tour on that day ? And, what's the cancellation policy ?

  Once you book the safari, its a guarantee departure even if you are a solo traveler, therefore should not worry but go ahead and book. Our Cancellation policy we recommend we keep the Credit for the next available travel date.

  1) Is Lake Victoria and visit to island/village better than Samburu and Thomson's falls ? 2) Apart from lodging, is there anything more compelling in your tour ? 3) Lodging in your tour - are they budget or mid-range or luxury ? 4) Since I'm interested in tour in Aug, I'd imagine tour will be booked full to capacity. How many people max you can accommodate per tour and per vehicle ? Does every person get window seat ?

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
