  Despite the high level of the Rhine causing navigation issues this being my first river cruise was a great experience. The cabin was roomy enough, comfortable and clean. The meals served were generous and delicious. We can’t speak highly enough of the staff. The entire crew from cleaning to kitchen to wait staff to hosts everyone was amazingly friendly. We were the only two English speaking guests and this was not a problem as all staff made us feel at home. We loved the CROISI experience and the ship. We are already thinking of our next cruise.Show more

The French Cuisine was excellent although at times lighter meals would have been preferable as a change during the hot weather experienced. Travelling companions provided jolly company.Show more

  1 Out of approx. 168 passengers, only 6 were non French, 4 from Gibraltar and 2 from Norway, resulting in a situation...
  1 Out of approx. 168 passengers, only 6 were non French, 4 from Gibraltar and 2 from Norway, resulting in a situation that all events, guided tours, general communication etc. on-board were based on French speaking guests. 2. When the guides, ship staff etc. tried to give the 6 of us some verbal info in English at the meals, the French guest disturbed so much that it was nearly impossible to hear what was communicated. 3. On one of the guided tours which where to a wine yard, all communication was on French , we where handed out a paper in English whish only gave some general facts and details. The same was on a museum where the 6 of us speaking English was denied to go by ourselves but had to stand in the crowd of French participants with an peace of paper giving the description in English, not easy to concentrate among 40 French speaking. As and comment we can inform that 2 years ago we where on a river cruise on Mekong being the only ones from Europe, everybody took care of us and incorporated us "in the crowd" and gave us full attention during the entire voyage. The ship it self has seen its better days although we where told, it had been upgraded and refurbished in 2007. To much wear and tear combined with an interior allowing for too much dirt, debris etc. to be present, carpet on floors is out. Dinning room was to small being over crowded. Serving during lunch and dinner was slow due to undermanned staff. Breakfast was between 7 and 9, when entering at approx. 8 to 8.30 much of the breakfast stuff on the buffet was gone and were not replaced.Show more
