  My wife and I just got back from our Felucca Explorer & Red Sea tour and had a fantastic time. On the go was very well organised, efficient and helpful, but the star was our guide Mahmoud. He is a born teacher and managed to inspire in the group something of his passion for Egypt and its history. I was also impressed with the standard of accommodation and think the whole tour represented outstanding value. Well done!Show more

  Mohamed our tour guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable about Egypt, very responsive to questions and he had useful tips to ensure we were kept safe and happy. He has a great attitude and was a pleasure to tour with. It would be nice to stay in places for a bit longer to get a feel to the area and also be more relaxed rather than constantly travelling, but we acknowledge that is hard given the relatively short length of the tour.Show more

  As for the tour, it was great. It really covered a lot of ground, and we feel like we got to see most of the sites we came for. Nader was also very flexible, so we adjusted for things like sleep, hunger, attention and focus, etc. The hotels were basically good although WiFi seems to be a real problem in Egypt (good access to it, that is); that could be improved as well.Show more

  As for the tour, I (and my two friends who came with me) really had a good time. The biggest problem, BY FAR, were some of the bus rides, particularly the NINE HOUR one from Cairo down to Luxor. It truly wastes an entire day, which is a lot, when your tour is only really seven days long. An overnight train down there would have been much better. Coming back on the train was great. I understand that this tour is very reasonably priced, but that one component should really be looked at; in addition, the bus we took down there wasn't a great bus, also - the seats did not recline at all, which made it difficult to sleep and there wasn't a whole lot of room to stretch out on this bus as well.Show more

  “Felucca Explorer - An adventure of a lifetime” The Felucca Explorer tour was a wonderful adventure. My father and I have recently returned from our trip to Egypt and we can highly recommend the tour to the young and old. Highlights included the Giza pyramid complex, the Great Sphinx of Giza, the Egyptian Museum, Saqqara with the step pyramid, the Valley of the Kings, Abu Simbel temples, Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple Complex, Colossi of Memnon, Philae island with the temple of Isis, the temple of Edfu and many more. Egypt is a safe country to visit with friendly people who are always willing to assist tourist. Our tour was well organized from the moment we landed in Cairo. The coaches used were air-conditioned and very comfortable. The accommodation was excellent and the group we toured with were great company. MoMo, our Egyptologist, was an excellent and outstanding tour guide with a passion for his country and its rich history. His knowledge of the different sights we visited and their history was indispensable. He taught us some hieroglyphics and by the end of our tour, we were able to recognize most of the Egyptian gods. By the end of the tour, we had a better understanding of Egypt’s ancient and recent history. The one-day (two evenings) felucca sailing down the Nile was a highlight on its own. Swimming in the Nile, the tranquility of river, picturesque sunsets and starry nights made for an unforgettable adventure. The overnight train brought back memories from times long gone. It was a befitting way to end our Egyptian adventure. I can highly recommend this tour.Show more

  Overall the tour was good and we got to see a lot of different places in a short period of time. Accommodation is fairly good in all cities although the resort in Cairo is very isolated from anything else so its a bit harder to get anywhere especially pre or post trip. Luxor and Aswan accommodations were next to the Nile and you could easily walk to shops or restaurants outside of the hotels. Wi-Fi is non existant in all of the hotels, if it is free its only in the lobby or pool and fairly poor even then. As it is a group tour time spent at each attraction is usually group driven which often was not long enough for us to properly explore many of the places then there would be stops at Papyrus shops etc which didn't interest us where we would be waiting around. Momo our guide was good but earlier on in the tour especially Day 2 we were not told that we wouldn't be eating lunch till 5pm so none of us were prepared with snacks and we did not stop to get any either so we were all starving and exhausted by that point. Unfortunately it was a tour with incident after incident from a couple mysteriosly leaving the tour and not telling anyone then wanting to rejoin in a different city to people injuring themselves and getting heat exhaustion. Felucca boat trip was enjoyable but it wasn't what a lot of others were expecting and it was just a single boat with a toilet without the support boat described in all of the trip notes. Expect to be sleeping on one big flat deck with a roof with everyone else around you. Boat only sails for around 4 hrs of the 36hrs you're on board. Be aware of all the extra payments at the start of the tour as many people weren't. Overnight sleeper train is very bumby and jolty so not best for sleeping. We had a group of 23 so we had a bigger bus which was more comfortable to spread out then if it was just a mini bus size group. A good tour for seeing Egypt quickly on a budget but not the best if you don't like feeling rushed.Show more

  Ever Since I was 10 years old and first learnt about King Tutankhamen, I have wanted to visit the land of Egypt. When I first booked this tour, a lot of people asked if it was safe to travel there, and I can say now with confidence that yes it is. I never felt like I was in danger at any stage, and the local people are lovely and the atmosphere is something that everyone has to experience once in their life. On the Go Tours and especially our guide, Momo, made this experience everything I was hoping for and more. Not only do you cross the bucket list items off such as the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and Valley of the Kings, you get to see some of the local life on the Nile with the Nubian people, you get to witness temples great and small, to any god you can image. Through On the Go Tours, I was also able to make new friends that I will keep with me for life, my "family"! Thank You for such an amazing tour!Show more
