The most amazing experience. Marwa, our guide in Giza, was incredible. With a background of a Masters in Ancient Egyptian history she was a wealth of information and gave us an in-depth understanding of this amazing country. There is so much to see. The food was delicious and people very friendly. Although it was a hazy morning the hot air balloon ride spectacular. This was a tour we will remember for a lifetime.
History & Civilization Egypt 7 days (Pyramids & GEM -Aswan-Nile Cruise-Luxor)One word : wonderful ! The guides and drivers were so nice and welcoming. We had an amazing experience that felt extra special because there was only the two of us for the whole trip (one of the perks of coming during the low season). Our last two days in Cairo were free time but when we asked if we could organize something, they said yes. We sent them what we wanted to do and they made it happen ! So well organised by the amazing Beyond the Nile Tours. All correspondence prior to the trip was prompt and helpful. Everything ran seamlessly from our first introduction to Big Mo, our tour tour organiser to all of our wonderful drivers who did the hotel transfers. To visit the Pyramids of Giza & the Sphinx, was one of the highlights of our lives. Our tour guide on this day, Abdou, was both an Archaeologist and Egyptologist of world renown and he was such an intelligent, friendly man, who made the experience of these and the GEM that much more interesting and enjoyable. His depth of knowledge and the manner he conveyed it was extraordinary. The Nile River cruise was terrific - good accommodation, great buffets, fun activities and enough time to relax on the pool deck, cocktail in hand and admire the spectacular scenery. All of the staff on board were efficient and welcoming. Our guide during these four days was Ashraf and we couldn't have asked for a better companion. Ashraf was also unbelievably knowledgeable, kind and fun to be around. We learned so much from him about Egyptian history, culture and everyday life and were very grateful to have shared this time with him. Lastly, thank you to Big Mo for your thoughtful organisation, recommendations and also your great personality. We took on your wise advice to do all of the extra optional tours available, so as to see as much as we could of Egypt and they were all outstanding. So glad we did Abu Simbel, the Nubian Villiage and the carriage ride as they were so interesting and held a few unexpected and fun surprises. Overall, we had a wonderful and once in a lifetime experience and would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering visiting the historic, chaotic, friendly, safe and truly fascinating country of Egypt!!

The autumn months from September through November hit a sweet spot - the heat has eased but winter crowds haven't arrived. Our fall tours often include extended time in places that can be too hot in summer, like the Valley of the Kings and Abu Simbel. Many combine a traditional felucca sailing with a luxury cruise ship portion, giving you different perspectives on the Nile. The October departures work especially well for photography - you get beautiful golden light at the temples without intense shadows. Several tours include desert camping experiences which are much more comfortable in the moderate fall temperatures, and also longer stays in Aswan where you can really explore the local markets and culture.
