The food was fresh and delicious, and the cruise team made a huge effort to put on extra decorations and special foods for Christmas, which was during the time of our cruise. I will say that Egypt as a country can feel very chaotic to travel in and having a good tour company by your side to navigate this is absolutely essential so I would definitely book with Golden Egypt again in the future. Even when schedules couldn't be met for instance because the ship was late, all the tours were swiftly rescheduled so that we didn't miss out on any of our programme, and pick-up times and guide contacts for the following day were shared with us every evening.   The USD 200 per person is for the flight upgrade from Cairo to Aswan (one way). This upgrade also includes the additional night of accommodation, as you will be flying on the 3rd day instead of taking the overnight train. The price is per person and applies only to the Cairo–Aswan sector. Flight details will be shared with you once the booking is fully confirmed and 20 days before departure. Regarding the Nile cruise, the exact ship depends on the week of sailing and availability at the time of arrival. That said, it will be MS Renaissance Nile Cruise or a cruise of the same standard and category, with the same itinerary and level of service.

  First, yes, absolutely, there is no problem at all. You can go ahead and book the basic package now for December 2026, and you may add optional tours later on, such as the hot air balloon, Abu Simbel, or any other optional activity. These can be added at any time closer to the travel date. Second, regarding the entrance fees of USD 145 per person: this amount represents the total combined entrance fees for all the archaeological sites and temples included in the itinerary. It is not mandatory to pay this amount in advance. You will pay entrance fees directly at each site, usually by credit/debit card. If you decide not to visit a specific site, you may simply skip that visit and you will not pay the entrance fee for that site. Participation is completely optional and fully up to you. Third, yes, the Nile Cruise included in the itinerary is a 5-star Nile Cruise, offering comfortable cabins, full-board meals, and high service standards.

Many travelers choose to continue on to Hurghada from Luxor on their own, so this is completely fine. The only important detail is the arrival date. To make sure the itinerary aligns perfectly with the Nile Cruise sailing schedule, please ensure that your arrival into Egypt is on Saturday, Monday, or Wednesday.
