Egypt Tours for Seniors
Our senior travelers prefer the well-paced luxury tours with proper comfort levels. These typically run 10-12 days, using high-end cruise boats with stabilizers and excellent accessibility. Domestic flights replace long bus rides, and the hotels are chosen for their elevators, good facilities and central locations. The Egyptologist guides are particularly experienced with senior groups - they know when to take breaks, find shady spots for explanations and adjust the walking pace as needed. Many older guests specifically mention appreciating the intimate group sizes, the option to skip certain activities and also having time to really absorb each site without feeling rushed.

What people love about Egypt Tours for Seniors
- Wonders of Egypt (Classic, Summer)
To say that this was the trip of a lifetime would be an understatement. I knew that this trip would include all of the famous sights you can find in any guide book, however, what I didn't expect was getting to dive headfirst in such an amazing culture. I would have never been able to scratch the service of all the amazing things we did on this tour if I had not traveled with Insight. The two highlights of our trip (beside the breathtaking ancient sights) were our high tea at the Cataract Hotel in Aswan and breaking bread with an Egyptian family in Luxor. I knew I would never be able to set something like this up on my own, and I am incredibly grateful for opportunity to say that I did these things. All my friends and family were so jealous of the photos I posted from these two experiences. Our Tour Director was first class from start to finish and made us feel like were were part of the family by the end of our trip. I know that I have made life long friends on my journey and I hope that this is first of many trips I take with Insight.
- Wonders of Ancient Egypt
From beginning to end and the 12 days in between Trafalgar had every detail of the very busy touring schedule carefully planned. Instructions were repeated numerous times so there was no doubt when to meet for guided tour. Free time was given at each tour site after being guided, with instructions when to re group. touring was thorough main historic sights were included with trip package. There were numerous optional experiences averaging about $100 US each. Arriving at hotel late and very tired we DID NOT have to stand in line to get checked in, we were pre checked in. On arrival handed our keys and directly to room. End of trip transfer to airport was organized and stress free.
- Best of Egypt (Summer)
A truly amazing, once in a life time, experience. The itinerary included all the major archeological sites in Egypt, covering history going back to the first pyramid built more than 4700 years ago. Our tour guide kept us busy, and was extremely knowledgeable and patient with our group. We had “free time” at all of the major sites we visited. We always felt very safe our entire time in Egypt. My advice to others considering this trip is that there is not so much walking, but sometimes a lot of uneven steps. Some of the less mobile people accompanying us opted to view some sites from the bus. The other thing to keep in mind is the ship for the Nile river cruise was pretty old and could have been a little cleaner. We heard mixed reviews from others on some of the optional experiences. We traveled to Abu Simbel and greatly enjoyed it. In summary, an amazing vacation!
