Overall, the experience was quite good, but the quality of service from some tour guides was not fully satisfying. The visit to Abu Simbel, for example, involved a total of about 12 hours of transfers for only 1 hour and 30 minutes on site, which did not feel truly worth the effort. In addition, mandatory tips were requested and expected, which is understandable, but the amount was not clearly stated anywhere in advance. Some of the guides did not seem sufficiently prepared to act as professional tour guides and felt more like group assistants. Their level of English was not very high, and friendliness was also limited. At times, it felt as though they were mainly waiting for the final tips, which we usually give anyway. The cabin on the ship was nice—simple but comfortable. The food was quite good, and on Christmas evening a beautiful Christmas dinner was prepared. Beverages are not included, but this was clearly stated at the time of booking. The cabin cleaner tried to surprise us every day by creating towel decorations, clearly hoping for tips. However, we genuinely appreciated the effort and always tipped him. Overall, I would recommend the cruise experience, but expectations should not be set too high.
