I do not recommend this tour and I would never do it again! The whole organisation was extremely poor, tour schedule was not adhered to and the guide was very average and made us feel super rushed throughout each visit (temples, tombs, etc). He only told us very little info about each of the sites and hardly gave us time to take pics, whilst I could see other groups with different guides spending time going over so many details and historical facts. Our designated ship was the Nile Jewel - supposed to be a 5 star experience. What a disappointment! The cabin was hardly a two star room; bed sheets were stained and full of hair when we checked in, it took the staff two attempts to finally find us clean sheets. Service on the ship was definitely below average. Food choices and food quality very poor; service during meals was not adequate at all, waiters rushing us through each meal, taking our plate every time we put the fork down for a second. The itinerary I chose when purchasing the tour was different from the one we did, when I questioned the changes the only answer I got was "this is the ship itinerary, can't be changed". Raised my concerns with the agency whilst we were on the cruise, nobody cared. We were meant to visit Edfu in the afternoon on day 2, instead they took us there at 5am on day 3, as the ship had some delays and didn't get there on time so we had to wake up at 4am for this visit. On the last day we had the hot air balloon experience booked as an extra. They picked us up from the ship at 5am and they made us wait in a small bus (13 people) for over an hour with zero update or communication on what was going on; they took us to the hot air balloon field at 7am (we were meant to be there at 5.30am, to watch the sunrise from the balloon), had us waiting there another 30 min, with no communication at all, then at 7.30am they told us they were taking us back because the whole thing was cancelled. We later found out that apparently wind conditions weren't safe enough but nobody told us until later that day and whilst we were waiting in that field, we saw at least 30 balloons up in the air - strangely enough, our group was the only one that got the experience cancelled. Overall, we felt like the cruise was absolutely not worth the money. We spent very little time visiting the sites that were part of the tour and the ship didn't have good enough facilities for us to really enjoy cruising time. Also worth mentioning, our group guide took us to visit a perfume and oils shop, a spice shop and an alabaster shop, that no one asked for and that were not part of the tour - on all 3 occasions we were asked to sit and listen to a demo of the production cycle and try the products; there was definitely pressure to buy some of the items. Many of us found it unprofessional and unnecessary, we should have been asked whether we wanted to do something like that, rather than ambushed.Show more

We recently completed the 4-day/3-night Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor with Travel Chance Egypt, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we were picked up, the whole trip felt seamless and genuinely well organized. The itinerary was packed but never rushed (although we did travel off-season) — the High Dam and Temple of Philae on day one, Kom Ombo and a chariot ride to the Temple of Horus in Edfu on day two, the Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut on day three, and a grand finale at Karnak and Luxor Temple on the last day. Every single monument came with a guide who was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and clearly loved sharing the history — you could tell they weren’t just reciting facts, they genuinely cared about bringing it to life. We were traveling with children, and the staff went out of their way to make them feel included and comfortable. Even though there weren’t many other kids on board, my children never once felt like an inconvenience — to the crew or to our fellow passengers. Everyone was warm and welcoming. The ship itself was comfortable, the meals were good, and having drinks or lunch on the sun deck while watching the Nile drift by is something we won’t forget. Highly recommend this cruise for anyone — families included — wanting to see Egypt’s ancient wonders in comfort and style. We’d encourage families to book with them in a heartbeat ❤️Show more

I was unhappy with the Aswan hotel I had booked myself and mentioned it in passing, within minutes the manager called and moved us to a much more suitable room with lovely views of the Nile and a complimentry fruit basket arrived! The guides, transfers and tours were excellent and the 3 night Nile cruise was wonderful. We had an upgrade to a better ship including a Royal Suite! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other travellers (and I'm a fussy travel agent!). Top marks to the whole team.Show more

We visited Kom Ombo in the evening with thousands of other tourists and Edna very early morning with one hour queuing with even more tourists. Hence difficult to visit properly and people bumping into each other. This a lack of decent organisation. He was very helpful and knows really everything about the places he took us. The latenin the afternoon trip to the Nubian island was amazing. The cruiseship was good with very helpfull and kind people who really want to service you at everything. In Luxor we met our guide Mohammed who was also very incredible in his knowledge about ancient Egypt.
