There was overall confusion about the "tip jar" being told it's for all tips when putting into it and then being told later what it doesn't include. The trip was fast and furious, not a lot of downtime if you sign up for the extras. Overall consensus about the extra/unexpected stops was that they were not necessary and people would rather have spent that time either shopping where they wanted or back on the boat having down time. One suggestion is to do the GEM tour on a separate day without anything else scheduled. we would have liked to have spent more time there. I know there is a language barrier as well but it was hard to hear or keep up with all the information they give about the locations. They are very knowledgeable it's just SO much that they try to fit in that I am not sure I retained much. Tour guides and staff were all very friendly but it didn't feel like we were just shuffled through. Food was mediocre. Did not get to experience real Egyptian cuisine except for 1 day and it was still buffet style. We got what we paid for so I can't complain.
