  We were quite doubtful at first as this was our first time taking a guided group tour, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made ever. Everything was so well organized by Timeless tours and we felt very well taken care of and safe throughout the time at egypt from the time we landed at cairo airport to when we departed. Ashraf(Ash) Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and brought ancient history to life with stories and context that made every place more meaningful. We also really appreciated the practical tips on navigating Egypt as beginners—especially how to avoid common scams—while still encouraging us to experience the kindness of the people around us. The accommodation and food were great, and the entire team was friendly, welcoming, and supportive. They gave us clear guidance when needed, but also enough space to enjoy things at our own pace without feeling overwhelmed. Looking back, our vacation wouldn’t have been this smooth, enriching, or memorable without this tour package from Timeless tours. It was absolutely worth the money, infact we even thought how can the tour company offer so much considering what we paid for. YOU GUYS are doing great. The last token of surprise gift from tour company brought all memories back together.   I’ve just completed the Best of Egypt tour and wanted to share my personal experience for those considering it. Note: These are entirely my own opinions—expectations may vary from person to person. Before purchasing the tour, based on the high ratings and overall perception, I naturally expected a premium-level service. Upon arrival in Egypt, we met a member of the tour team smoothly. However, the transfer from the airport to the hotel was honestly one of the riskiest rides I’ve ever experienced. After getting over that initial shock, we checked into the hotel. Although it looked decent at first glance, there is a general cleanliness issue in Egypt. If you are sensitive about hygiene, this could be a problem for you. Especially the extremely low water pressure in the showers was quite frustrating. (This was consistent across almost all hotels except the cruise, so I won’t repeat it each time.) Despite being open buffet, the food quality, variety, and cleanliness were unfortunately below expectations. The cruise part (3 nights) was where I had the highest expectations—but it turned out to be the worst experience. The cabins were stuffy, with no windows or balconies. Overall, it felt more like a basic city ferry rather than a premium cruise experience. The food was mediocre at best, and if you didn’t book additional tours, breakfast on rest days was only available until 8 AM. Surprisingly, you even have to pay for water outside meal times. If you want coffee, it’s not only paid but also very poor in quality. There is no Wi-Fi, so you have to rely on your own internet for three days. If you’re going in with high expectations like I did, I strongly recommend lowering them for the cruise. When we arrived in Hurghada, we were placed in a 5-star resort. However, the first room we were given was on the ground floor, dark, and barely received any daylight. We immediately requested a change, and the tour guide helped resolve it. The second room was relatively better, but cleanliness was still poor. Staff motivation seemed low, and the room quality was comparable to a hostel in Europe. The workshops we attended during the tour felt less like informative sessions and more like sales-driven experiences, often creating a sense of pressure to buy something. On the last day, although the itinerary clearly mentioned the GEM Museum, we were told we would instead be taken to a much smaller museum, and that we could get a refund if we preferred not to go. Since the GEM Museum costs about three times more, we decided to cancel and go there ourselves. Despite being very close to our hotel, transportation was not arranged by the tour, which was disappointing. This was especially frustrating since the GEM Museum was explicitly listed in the program. ⸻ What I found positive: • Transportation was generally well organized (except the first night) • The historical and natural beauty of Ancient Egypt is impressive • The tour guide did their job at a satisfactory level What I found negative: • Low quality food in hotels • Poor cleanliness standards • Constant pressure to buy things and being treated like a “walking dollar,” often with highly inflated prices Some of these issues may not be directly caused by the tour itself, but rather reflect general conditions in Egypt. However, when purchasing an end-to-end service, it’s difficult not to hold the tour company accountable for the overall experience. Honestly, I feel like I could have organized this trip myself for a lower cost and with a higher quality experience. That said, I still appreciate the effort and friendliness of the tour team. We didn’t face any major issues and completed the trip without serious problems.Show more

For a full circuit of Egypt’s major landmarks, entrance fees typically total approximately $150 USD per person. This structure allows you to pay only for the sites you choose to enter. Museum Ticket Refund: Since the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is a premium site with a significantly higher entry cost than the classic museum, we were pleased to refund your classic museum ticket. This allowed you to apply that credit directly toward your GEM visit while still benefiting from our team's coordination. The Cruise & Dining: We have taken your comments regarding cabin ventilation and meal quality to heart. We are currently reviewing our cruise partners to ensure the onboard experience meets the high expectations our guests have for a Nile journey. Value for Money: Our goal is to provide a seamless, "end-to-end" service that handles the complex logistics of Egypt—from airport pickups to professional guiding across multiple cities—at an accessible rate. We strive to ensure every guest feels they have received the best possible value for their investment. We also hear your feedback regarding the workshop visits and "sales pressure." We want our guests to feel like valued travelers, and we will be addressing this with our local partners to ensure a more relaxed experience.   We just ended the tour April 8-17. We had Mina as our tour guide, and he was genuinely good and helpful throughout the trip. He did his job well and made things easier for us. As for the tour itself, I want this to be an honest review. The transportation was actually very good everything was on time, and we didn’t have to wait around, which I appreciated. However, the hotels were disappointing. Even though they are advertised as 5-star, they felt more like 2.5-star at best when compared to real 5-star standards. Cleanliness was an issue, and overall they just didn’t meet expectations. The food was also poor not because it was local cuisine, but because the quality was simply bad. The meat and chicken didn’t taste fresh, and in some places even the plates were not properly clean. This was a recurring issue, including in the hotels. The cruise experience was probably the weakest part. I would rate it 1 star. The rooms were in cabins where you couldn’t open the windows, so there was no proper air or ventilation. The food there was also disappointing, similar to the rest of the trip. That said, Egypt itself is absolutely incredible. The pyramids, temples, and natural beauty are truly a must-see and made the trip worthwhile despite the issues. Overall, I’m giving this experience 3 stars—not because of the tour quality, but because the destination itself is so special. *************If you choose this tour, go with low expectations so they can at least meet them.********Show more

  I took this tour in March of this year and I would like to share my experience with the company. Overall, the tour was good, however there were several details that I did not fully enjoy. One of the main issues was the lack of organization in the itinerary. Although everything scheduled was eventually fulfilled, whenever we asked about timings or free time, the guide would often say that he would let us know later. This information should be clearly defined in advance. Regarding the visits to the sites and the guidance provided, I was not very satisfied. The guide’s explanations were quite limited and brief. Most of the information was given on the bus or at the entrance of the sites. For example, when explaining the hieroglyphs, this was done in a very general way, which made it difficult to fully appreciate them during the temple visits. Additionally, the free time at the attractions was sometimes too short, not allowing enough time to properly explore the sites. Before booking the tour, I contacted the company by email to clarify some doubts. One of my questions was about which museum was included in the tour, and I was informed that it was the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). However, one day before the museum visit, the guide informed me that the GEM was not included, and that if I wanted to visit it, I would have to do it on my own as it was not part of the package. Eventually, the itinerary was changed and we did visit the GEM, but we had to purchase the tickets ourselves, and we were only refunded the cost of the old Egyptian Museum ticket, which is significantly cheaper than the new museum. This was confusing, especially since the GEM ticket was originally mentioned as included at the time of booking. The transportation used for the excursions was generally fine, although for longer transfers it was somewhat uncomfortable for long hours of travel. The hotels were good overall, as were the meals provided during the trip. During the tour, we were taken to several workshops and shops where we received short presentations followed by attempts to sell products. Based on my experience, I would recommend being cautious with these purchases, as similar products can be found in Hurghada or Cairo at much lower prices. Finally, the optional excursions were significantly overpriced. It is possible to find the same or even better experiences on other websites for half the price.Show more

Guiding & Workshop Visits Your feedback regarding the depth of the historical explanations is well-taken. We want our guests to feel immersed in the hieroglyphs, not just briefed on them. We will be speaking with our guiding team to ensure that even when a site visit is moved up due to Ramadan hours, the quality of the education remains high-standard. Regarding the workshops, we include these to showcase local craftsmanship, but we appreciate your honest tip to fellow travelers about price comparisons in the larger markets. Optional Excursions & Transport We strive to provide "hassle-free" optional tours with vetted drivers and guides, which can sometimes lead to a price gap compared to third-party sites.
