- Cheryl· October 22nd, 2025Having a great guide like Rey can be the difference between a fantastic tour and an OK one. Ray shared his passion and his knowledge of Egypt with our group over ten days. He was super- well organized and made things happen without a fuss. He managed to keep us on time and together. He made us his family: his Habibi's. We always knew exactly what the plan was and he was flexible enough to modify the itinerary when folk were tired or not especially interested in something. The highpoints of this sector of the tour were the Balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings and the trip to Abu Simbel. The Hurghada resort on the Red Sea might have looked fancy but basic things like the plumbing or A/C didn't work reliably. That's not the tour company's fault though. The overnight train from Cairo to Aswan to join the cruise boat was definitely an experience too. Timing of temple visits was sometimes an issue for me. We arrived at several at midday, which meant there was absolutely no shade to be had. We also visited two temples at dusk, which I thought was just asking for a twisted ankle. Our experience in Jordan was not quite as good. Our guide spent most of his time talking with his trainee rather than us, he shared little about the sites, and logistics for the next day were often not clearly communicated. - JCJohn· October 19th, 2025Our guide Remon was amazing. He’s very knowledgeable and passionate about the Egyptian history and we learned a lot thanks to him. Our biggest complaint about the trip was with the “cruise” portion. However, that may be due to our expectations being higher than our reality. The boat was very dated, had mechanical issues, and even though we were in the Egyptian desert, our room stayed cooler with the window open than it did with the AC turned on. They didn’t have linen for the beds when they were pushed together, but just used the normal twin size bed linens. The crew was friendly and accommodating and the food was OK. There are no activities on day 1 and on day 10 of the tour except for the briefing meeting on day 1. Depending on your arrival time on day 1 of the tour; one of our representatives will be there at the passport control office with a Timeless Tours sign to help you through the formalities and then transfer you to the hotel. On your departure; we will transfer you from the hotel to the airport according to your flight's take off time.
