Our tour guide Mariam Tawfik was more like a friend than a guide. She helped us with everything, related to food choices, changes in individual plans and was super relaxed and supportive. It made us enjoy the tour to the maximum, without worrying about transport and other details. Also her knowledge about Egyptian history and Pharaoh temples is also highly advanced.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone willing to visit Egypt.

Mariam is an extremely caring and wonderful person who made it an unforgettable experience. The Nile cruise was a very pleasant addition to the tour, and reduced bus time significantly (as the boat brought us to the various sites/attractions) which made the tour even better. If you can snag Mariam as your tour guide you will most definitely have an awesome experience!

they do what they promise (almost) but after that everything goes wrong. at the start of the tour they tell you not to buy anything from any tourist places and they will take you to places to buy. Do not believe or trust them buy things anywhere you feel like you are getting a good price because the places they take you have commission to them (around 50-60 % at a minimum). they dont take care of your requests if you have dietary restrictions its your problem stay hungry they dont care. they give large estimates for entrance fees dont give that early to them pay per place after watching the amount on the ticket. the sell water at around 40 % markup. they wont even stop for ice cream at any shop that doesn't have commission to them the guide is not the greatest, she was not rude but she didnt explain much at any place compared to guides we say there. most of the time exploring the places we were following other guides to get more detailed and good understanding of the place.

I also did the optional Nubian village excursion and that was definitely a hightlight so I'm happy I made all those choices. Our guide Mariam was fantastic! I can honestly say, she made the trip extra enjoyable. It was like having a best friend or family member along. She did a wonderful job coordinating our group, scheduling extra activities, and making sure all our needs were addressed. I gained so many interesting facts along the way. She made sure we were always comfortable and cared for all the way down to having cold bottled water available on our van trips. Overall, the tinerary was excellent. We had plenty of time to visit and experience most of the highlights you would want to see in Egypt but we also had enough downtime to relax. It was also nice that we had some flexibility in the schedule and were allowed group input regarding some activities, time schedules, etc. I never felt rushed and loved every minute of it! Our group was small (8 people) and I was a solo traveler. I always felt safe and enjoyed my fellow travelers immensely. I must admit...Some of the accomodations were older and a bit worn so don't expect a western version of 5 star hotels but they were adequate. They could also use a case of windex as I noticed the same smudges and spills on the windows and mirrors when I checked in and checked out even at places we stayed for several days. It did make me question how much cleaning effort was but in to the rest of the rooms, but all in all in wasn't horrible. The food wasn't very good at the first hotel but was very good at the chosen restaurants, on the cruise ship, and the very nice hotel in Aswan. I made a last minute choice to stay extra days in Hurghada but I really felt like that part of the tour was a bit long. If you aren't into snorkeling or diving, there aren't a lot of outside activities. Also because of a change in itineraries, there were a couple of things I would have liked to do that I missed. That was my choice however and no reflection on Timeless Tours. Bottom line, I would definitely go back and would definitely recommend Timeless Tours and Miriam!!

Then transport to the hotel in Cairo, where we had a warm welcome and some practical arrangements (like a local simcard).
The entire trip we were accompanied by our guide Mariam, who did a fantastic job! We had an enjoyable group of 13 people, from all the 6 continents, it was like a family and Mariam was our “Mom”, holding the group together, giving us valuable information, taking good care of us and she had an eye for personal needs.
We received tips & tricks on how to bargain and how to deal with merchandise sellers.
The trip from Cairo to Aswan was a 14hr bus ride, but we chose to upgrade to a 1 hour flight plus nice hotel in Aswan. We were glad we did so: the bus is not a sleeping bus...
All the visits were very interesting & all beautiful! There was a nice balance in information given by guide Marian and free time afterwards to explore the site.
The few days cruising on the Nile were awesome, how I enjoyed that! We had such nice views and the cruise was most comfortable with so friendly crew & excellent meals. Toppie chefs!
A couple of relaxing days in a resort in Hurghada are included, where we chose to go for a dive trip. A “must do” if you like snorkeling or scubadiving or maybe want to explore it for the first time?
The last day was a bit too busy for me: a 7hr bus ride from Hurghada to Cairo, followed by some visits immediately after.
I would like to suggest to take a big bus for more sleepcomfort or the option to fly again.
And followed by 1 visit, then lunch, 1 other visit, the old Bazar and finished. That would feel more comfy for me.
I’m very glad that we choose for Timeless Tours to have this incredible beautiful experience of exploring Egypt! It was a very positive experience, which I would highly recommend.

We felt being pampered, and at the same time the trip was intense, due to so many impressions.

The food, the hotels, the cruse were all exceptional! Especially when our tour guide took us for lunch to a native Egyptian restaurant.
Wish we had MORE TIME to visit each place a little longer... but still the same... it was amazing being in places built 3000+ years ago. Such a special experience.
I would like to return one day to visit a few places a bit longer, to site and meditate in some of the areas as well!

Only minor gripe was the food at the hotel in Hurghada but other than that, can't complain.

My father and I went on the Nile Jewel cruise tour (4/13-4/21, 2022) and had a great time. Mariam was our guide and she took great care of us. Mariam was our guide and she took great care of us. She was very knowledgeable about history and very competent to handle any of our needs. If you choose this trip be prepared for some very early mornings. Sometimes there is a bit of a drive to the day's excursion or because of the heat, they have you get an early start. We all took several naps on the bus driving to/from our days activities. The food was ok. Most of the food was basically the same at all the locations. I was able to find plenty of things to eat and never got sick. I do always bring peanut butter crackers and protein bars on trips just in case and we did eat them when we wanted a snack. There were plenty of places to get water, be prepared to buy it. I used it to also brush my teeth just to be extra safe. I thought the accommodations were clean and comfortable, no frills. The WIFI was spotty so I do recommend getting a SIM card because it is really inexpensive and easy to do. You can get it at the airport, and based on YouTube videos, that process is very easy. I was able to get it for my dad at our first hotel. I just told my tour guide I wanted a SIM card and a guy showed up to sell it and helped set it up. If you can get it at the airport that might be easier. However, check your cell phone plan before going on trip because it turned out my phone plan was old and didn't allow for my getting a SIM card. However, my father was able to so I used his phone as a hot spot when I needed WIFI. Also, before your trip look up the weather for all the places you are going on your itinerary. I only looked up Cairo, which was about 10-15 degrees cooler than when we went south to Aswan to pick up the cruise ship. We had some 100+ degree days in the south. Thank goodness for air conditioned buses and hotels! Be prepared to have people coming up to you at all the tourist sites selling to you. I have to admit this was frustrating at times because some vendors are VERY pushy. Also, nothing is free. If someone offers to take your picture, or if they hand you a cheap scarf and say "no money, no money" as you try to push it away, if you give in and take it they will always follow-up with something like "can you give something to help my family..." If you want to buy souvenirs that is fine, just make sure you don't pay the first price they offer, haggling is expected. If you don't want to buy be kind, but firm and just keep walking. If you really don't want anything don't even comment if they ask where you are from because if you acknowledge the seller in any way that is their "in" and they will not back down easily. My father and I both took binoculars and at our layover stop in Amman , Jordan, they pulled them from our backpacks and questioned us a little. So be prepared to be stopped and questioned about camera equipment, etc. I put the binoculars in my suitcase coming home to avoid more questions. I didn't have problems with using my cell phone to take pictures or video, but I've heard of other people having problems in Egypt so just be aware some of the security/police will ask questions at times. Take cash money and exchange it when you arrive. You'll need money for tipping at bathrooms and for smaller purchases like water. At the bathrooms they gladly took US $1, but the exchange rate is $1 to 18 Egyptian pound, so they are getting a really good tip if you give $1 U.S. The tour guide recommended 5 Egyptian pound at the bathroom. I took tissue to make sure I was never without in the bathroom because you can't assume there will always be toilet paper. I recommend downloading a currency converter app before your trip. I used mine several times because I'm not great at math. We were lucky that a bank was literally 20 feet from our hotel so it was very easy getting money converted. There are also ATMs all over. The tour guide was good at finding them when anyone needed more funds. However, some ATMs worked and some didn't, so sometimes it took a couple of tries. For the U.S. travelers the tour guide made sure we were able to get our return home covid tests done. We pulled over on the side of the street in Cairo, a guy pulled up on a motorcycle, did the tests, we paid him (in Egyptian pound or U.S. currency, he took both) and then the results were dropped at the hotel, no problem. The way the tour guide handled tipping made it easy for us because she collected the money at the beginning of the trip and did the tipping at the places we stayed, however, having said that, when we first arrived at a couple of hotels the porters who brought our suitcases to the room expected a tip, so I did trip extra then rather than ignoring them knowing they should get a tip later. I just gave a couple of dollars so it wasn’t a big deal. My 2 suggestions for improvement for the trip is 1. the tour company should invest in headphones for the travelers and tour guide so it is easier to hear the guide on the bus and when walking around at the tour sites. 2. the tour should have 2 optional flight options. It was worth the extra money to get the flight from Cairo to Aswan. There should be a second option at the end of the trip to get a flight from Hurghada back to Cairo because that was about a 7 hour bus ride and since a couple of the people in our original group were staying longer, they put us on a small bus and it was too small for such a long ride. All of us would have gladly paid an additional fee to fly back to Cairo. All in all I recommend this tour and Timeless Tours. I don’t think I’d want to do Egypt without a tour guide.

He was well organized and communicated well with our group. He was very knowledgeable and fun to hang out with/ I am ready for my next voyage to Egypt to see what I missed.
Mariam was a spectacular guide, she always accompanied us and solved all our problems.

It would be good to have a better idea of timings for the days before the immediate night before as a lot of early starts. A rough idea of timings for the week on arrival would be good. Also at times quite a length of time between meals especially for the early starts. I would advise getting the flight rather than the 14 hour flight.
The thing or person that made the trip along with the amazing sites was Mariam. She was so welcoming, approachable, helpful and knowledgable. I learnt so much and she never tired of my questions and there was quite a few. Thanks so much Mariam.

We didn’t have many out of pocket expenses other than dinner and lunch a few times. I had a great time!

We picked the perfect time of the year to go (end of March) and none of the sites we visited were over packed with tourist. With less crowds and our excellent tour guide Miriam, the tour was more than I expected. Every site we visited was amazing and the cruise down the Nile was just gorgeous. Mariam was very knowledgeable and provided us with the history (pointing out the highlights)of each site we visited. After Miriam provided us with the history, we had ample free time to explore each site on our on and take pictures. It was especially helpful that on the first day Miriam provided us with the total for all the entry fees for the entire trip and we were able to give her the fees all at once and did not have to worry about having entry fees as we went to each site. We enjoyed pyramids, the temples, the oil shop, the papyrus store, riding a camel, a hot air balloon ( I was really nervous about taking a hot air balloon, but in the end I really enjoyed it), the cruise ship, the boats, the Nubian village, and the horse and buggy ride. It was a packed tour, but even my 16 year old enjoyed the tour.

You will practically see everything important in Egyptian ancient history in a short time. You will never get bored, you normally start your tour very early in the morning and get back to your boat or hotel just in time get dinner, which for us was fine since we wanted to see everything! The Nile cruise was wonderful, not only because it gave us the opportunity to relax and see in comfort very beautiful landscapes of Egypt, but also because of the great service and delicious and clean food. The hotels were fine. Our tour guide Mariam knows a lot about Egyptian history, and she was patient, nice and always trying to accommodate the needs of everybody in the group, which was not an easy task! The age range of our group was from 25 to 90!. Mariam and her manager are very honest people, they even help you after the tour is finished. For instance, I purchased a souvenir in Egypt which at the end was not what I expected. One day I contacted Mariam and during the conversation I told her about my bad experience with that seller. Afterwards, she and her manager spontaneously contacted the seller and helped me to get a refund for that souvenir, although the tour was already over. They really care about you and your feeling about your experience in Egypt. About the trip to Jordan, this last was not a guided tour as it was in Egypt. We had in Jordan a nice and punctual driver who took us to all places marked in the itinerary and also explained us a little bit about the places we visited. He was not a tour guide but he was more than just a driver. Wadi Rum and the Bedouin Camp were just great! Although, a tour guide in Petra and Amman would have been great, I think we received more than it was promised since the hotels were much more better than expected and many meals (B-L-D) were also included during the whole trip in Jordan, which was a very nice surprise!. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody able to walk!

The highlight was Mariam, our drivers, all the hotel staff, the Egyptian people and our unique set of travellers that touched my heart. Everyone were themselves and it added so some much to my personal experience. Yalla Yalla my new friends and that includes dear Mariam. Book it up but keep close

The tours packages are very affordable and we were worn out every day with the amount of time spend seeing and exploring all of the many sites in lower and upper Egypt! The Resort Hotel had a lot of amenities for all ages, the food and entertainment was very good. The only negative thing I can say, is there rating for hotels and standard our lower then what we receive in the USA and the box lunch & breakfast that were hand out was a little lacking for my taste. Last but not least the tour guide Mariam just “AWSOME” she rocks. She made this trip a dream come true! She was very informative and professional and cater to our every need. She made us feel like her family and security was well organized and we felt safe through are whole trip.

We had a couple of queries in advance of our tour and needed to make a couple of amendments which were dealt with quickly and in a most friendly way.
During the tour Mariam was a great tour leader and source of advice and information. We felt safe and fully in touch at all times during the tour and the accommodation, sights and food was all top notch. Thanks once again. We will definitely recommend Tourradar and Timeless Tours.

It was very fast-paced, with early mornings (often 3 a.m.), which necessitated box breakfasts (which were awful, so bring your own snacks). However, I wish she had spent more time telling us about the various places while on the shuttle going there instead of wasting time once we'd arrived. Also, it would have been helpful to have some suggestions as to things to do during our free time, like visiting markets or other sights (as opposed to "excursions"). Be careful not to try to sneak photos without paying, especially in the Valley of the Kings, since they will catch you, but probably only demand a 300 Egyptian pound "tip". The reason I rated the transportation "good" was because the drivers often talked on their phones and even texted while driving. In addition, I'd advise purchasing a SIM card, since several of the hotels only have wifi by the pool or in the lobby.

We all bonded and shared a wonderful week and a half. I was exhausted by the end of the tour, but it was the trip of a lifetime. This company is well-organized, secure, and knowledgeable. All of the tour guides were charismatic, extremely learned, and great nurses (for those moments of traveler's tummy!). This is a budget tour, so don't expect luxury, but what you get still exceeds what you're paying for. We always felt safe, and we loved Miriam. These people have a lot to offer you, and they'll do everything they can to accommodate you!

It was disappointing that when dining on the Nile Cruise boat one had to purchase both water and coffee at the evening meal. At the beginning of the tour our guide Mariam reassured us that she would take care of our needs to enable a safe stress free tour. Mariam was a professional, very knowledgable who possessed a sense of humour that made this adventure very relaxing and enjoyable. Mariam was energetic, helpful and nothing was ever a problem. Clear instructions were given more than once by Marian so if we missed them the first time we heard them the second.

Mariam was great, looking after us and guiding and educating us around all the monuments, temples and museum and handling the more challenging members of our group with great diplomacy. Remember the star ratings are Egyptian. In Giza, we were not happy with the room but as we arrived late we just ran with it but mentioned it to Mariam, who basically encouraged us to let her know if we were not happy, and she ensured we had an updated room when we returned to Giza at the end of the tour. The Nile cruise boat was a bit dated and was probably 5 stars when it first launched. If you want a great introduction to Egypt, then I would highly recommend Timeless Tours Egypt Highlights

Back in Cairo the last two days the tour takes you to a lot of places to see, which is great. Our guide Mariam was very good and friendly, always ready to help with anything we needed. She is knowledgeable and gave us also a lot of information on the places we visited. Also, the other guides we met in this tour were very helpful all the time, so thank you all. On our last morning before going back to the airport, we wanted to go back to the pyramids and a taxi was organised for us to bring us to the pyramids and back. We had a fantastic time in Egypt and have met great people in this trip. The only thing is that I would have liked to spend more time in the temples we visited, as there was so much to see and not enough time to see it all, but it was still incredible to visit every single place. All in all, this trip was an unforgettable and amazing experience. I personally highly recommend this tour. Many people were not happy with early morning wakeup to start the day. We fell behind schedule and had to make up time and we even had dinner around 9-10pm.
The trip wasn't relaxing at all as it was a very aggressive pace. By the mid of the trip you are ready to go home as you are exhausted.
The people of Egypt are nice, and most are friendly, but be prepared to get harassed by street vendors trying to sell you goods.
Don't fall for the tourist traps you are taken to - perfume shop and papyrus store - these are all things you can find later on in the trip for MUCH cheaper.

The hotel staff was amazing and they expressed gratitude humbly which is quite rare these days. Our tour guide, Mariam and driver were a delight and joyful individuals. Mariam was a great help to us in everything as in food, coffee, finding a hookah spot, and at the Khalili market giving us a good price on our souvenirs and shopping needs. The Bedouin restaurant had great breakfast and dinner! I enjoyed every morning having a full on breakfast with my hot coffee. Everything was just to perfection. Only negative point I have about the hotel room was the tub/shower. The drain clogged every time we would take a shower which made it a bit frustrating. Above all, the places I visited was everything I imagined it would be and more. Egypt definitely has my heart and this company made my trip worthwhile and filled it with great memories. Thank you!

Similarly our driver wa…This was a very good tour, arranged by Timeless Tours. Our tour guide, Mariam, was organised, very knowledgeable and a real pleasure to be with. We felt very lucky to have her. Similarly our driver was amazing, navigating the Cairo roads with great expertise and despite the fact that the roads seemed alarming (7 lanes in places with cars switching lanes frequently at high speed) he always made us feel safe. We saw the pyramids around Cairo, the wonderful museum, the new library in Alexandria and many other things. Mariam gave us a lot of information but was clever in choosing just the right things to look at so we were not overwhelmed. We enjoyed local restaurants and the old market, and also a lovely afternoon trip on the Nile by Felucca. I should also mention the amazing Sufi dancer who performed at the dinner on the Nile cruise. The hotel was great, clean and welcoming with a wide choice of food. Timeless looked after us very carefully and apart from a minor hiccup at the end when our transport got stuck in traffic and we caught an Uber to the airport (which Timeless more than compensated us for by arranging private transport for us at our next destination!) everything went really well. This tour focuses on the area around Cairo (which is what we wanted) and so does not include Luxor or Aswan, which are a long way away, but it was perfect for our requirements. I can recommend the trip (not the Cairo traffic) and Timeless Tours to anyone looking to see this area. Many thanks specially to Mariam and to Hany in the office who was always helpful and replied to any query very quickly.

Overall it was a very well-run tour and we are extremely happy with the visit! We felt safe and cared for at all times.

I loved the itinerary and the people I met, and was so happy with my choice! Miriam, our tour guide, was super accommodating of the group, and we were able to switch around times and places to make sure that everyone was happy!
They are very flexible (for instance, when a friend decided to join me on the trip, they were happy to promptly refund my single traveler supplement, and when there was bad weather on the day of my hot air balloon ride, they did the same), but I’d say that if you’re offered the option to take a bus and receive a refund for your flight to Aswan from Cairo or from Luxor to Cairo, keep the flight. It’s a pretty long and rough ride, even for someone who has done many a multi-day road trip.
Overall, I’m super happy with the trip and I would recommend it wholeheartedly (and have already done so!)

They are also pretty flexible and accommodating with our schedules. In the whole trip there are some days that start really early because of the time it takes to drive between places. Be prepared to long drives. There are sometimes that you can change the long bus rides for a flight but they should offer more opportunities to do this on more occasions. Food from the buffets at the hotels and cruise is not the best. Try and have some authentic local food... After all this is tour was amazing and unique. I can recommend it!

I was lucky enough to have my last two days as a private tour as there was no one else doing this tour which helped a lot as well so I could spend time on my own and get all the attention from the guide (Summer). Yes I got two different guides during the tour.
Overall I would recommend this tour with a side note. If you don't want to spend a lot of time on the beach then try the "Nile Jewel" tour as you'll see the same but will spend less time in Hurghada by the beach.

Marriam was a wonderful tour guide, and helped everybody with any problems or changes. She made the holiday wonderful. The only thing that I will change, are they awful pack up breakfasts, and so many 3 am starts.

It would say today we are going to xyz . What it would not say is that it was a 2 am wake up call with a three hour bus ride on a nice bus with seats meant to fit people five feet tall. Then when you got there oh bye the way there is always an extra charge to actually go inside and see stuff. We spent most of our time on buses only three nights on the Nile boat. First day we arrive at seven pm. And left the next morning at five thirty am back for breakfast with a five hour cruise then off again. Sleep until 4 am and off the boat. There was some cruising but really only five hours of rest time and part of one day to relax on the boat. The hotels were supposed to be four star but the overall opinion was two or less by all the people on the tour. My recommendation is skip these guys and look for better people to go with.
