A 14-day Egyptian tour takes you through 6 major cities from Cairo to Hurghada. The trip features 3 nights cruising the Nile, visits to Valley of the Kings, tours of Karnak Temple complex, and beach time at the Red Sea. Includes domestic flights and expert guides throughout.

- Days 1-2
Cairo & Giza
- Days 3-5
Nile Cruise from Aswan
Fly to Aswan early in the morning. Visit the beautiful Philae Temple by boat before starting your 3-day Nile cruise. The cruise offers views of rural Egypt and stops at important temples. Consider the Abu Simbel trip despite the 3 AM start. "Abu Simbel requires a very early start but is absolutely worth it - the temples are mind-blowing at sunrise."
- Days 6-7
Luxor
Start at Karnak Temple complex before it gets too hot. Head to the Valley of the Kings early to avoid long lines. You can take a hot air balloon ride over the Valley for a unique perspective. "Book the first balloon flight at dawn for the best light and calmest winds."
- Days 8-10
Hurghada Red Sea Resort
Take a break from sightseeing at the Red Sea coast. You can snorkel, dive or relax on the beach. Check your hotel's beach access before booking as some properties like the Gravity Hotel have rocky beaches.
- Days 11-14
Cairo
Back in Cairo, visit the Egyptian Museum in the morning to avoid crowds. Explore Coptic Cairo and shop at Khan el-Khalili bazaar. "Don't wait to buy souvenirs at the bazaar - you'll find better authentic items at the actual archaeological sites."
14 Days in Egypt, incl. Cairo and Luxor
A cultural expedition spans 10 Egyptian cities, featuring UNESCO sites like the Great Pyramid and Valley of the Kings. Marvel at Abu Simbel Temple, cruise the Nile, snorkel at Giftun Island, and tour Alexandria's ancient library. Includes 13 breakfasts and varied accommodations.

- Days 1-2
Cairo & Giza
Get to the Great Pyramid of Giza by 8:30 AM to avoid crowds and intense heat. Plan 3-4 hours for the Egyptian Museum with special attention to the Tutankhamun collection and Royal Mummies hall. A recent visitor noted: "The pyramids are breathtaking, but go early - by 10 AM the tour buses arrive and it gets uncomfortably hot."

- Days 3-4
Aswan & Abu Simbel
Take the overnight train to Aswan. The journey takes 12 hours and the AC gets cold, so pack warm clothes. Start your morning at the vibrant Aswan market. The Abu Simbel trip starts very early at 3:30 AM but you won't regret it. End your day with dinner at a local Nubian village. One guest shared: "The Nubian family dinner was a highlight - such warm hospitality and the best food of the trip."

- Days 5-8
Luxor & Valley of the Kings
Travel to Luxor by felucca boat, stopping at Kom Ombo temple. The drive takes about 3 hours. Visit Karnak Temple first thing in the morning. Set aside 4 hours for the Valley of the Kings and remember water and sun protection. Take a bike ride through nearby villages to see local life. A visitor tip: "Book the optional hot air balloon ride over Luxor - seeing the temples from above at sunrise was magical."

- Days 9-10
Red Sea at Hurghada
Drive four hours to Hurghada's beaches. Take a full-day snorkeling trip to Giftun Island. The coral reefs are spectacular but bring your own snorkel gear. Morning offers the best water visibility. One traveler wrote: "The Red Sea's colors are incredible - we saw dolphins, rays and countless tropical fish."

- Days 11-13
Alexandria & El Alamein
Fly back to Cairo and drive to Alexandria, about 2.5 hours away. Visit the modern Library and the ancient Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. Stop at El Alamein's WWII sites on your return to Cairo. A visitor suggested: "Walk Alexandria's Corniche at sunset for amazing Mediterranean views and local street food."

- Day 14
Final Day in Cairo
What people love about 2-week Egypt tours
- Egypt Highlights
Great itinerary and tour guide. The arrival process could be refined a little - provide a direct contact number the day before departure and reconfirm flight details to ensure everything is in place and will run smoothly for arrival.
- Highlights of Egypt
Excellent itinerary.. except for the old, rickety, dirty sleeper train. We could have had 1 day less in Luxor, otherwise the trip was great. I would have liked to have a tour guide take us around at each site since our CEO wasn’t able to guide us around most places to give us more details. She gave us a summary at the beginning and let us roam around by ourselves. The snorkeling day in Hurghada was a much needed relaxing one since our itinerary was very hectic. Overall, this was a great experience save for the train and missing information at most sites. I was listening in on other tour guides to gain more info.
- Ancient Wonders Egypt: 14-day (Pyramids & GEM- Alexandria- White Desert - Nile Cruise-Hurghada ) domestic flight
Outstanding professionalism from each and every licensed guide and driver. Particularly impressed with Mohammed (Jiiimy) [Cairo guide], Mohamed [Nile guide] Ahmed [White Sands guide], and Youssef [Tour director/driver]. Exceptional customer service, excellent guidance, clear language skills, adroit. Ask for them by name!!! Mustafa was spot on with on-location WhatsApp messages to keep me appraised of next steps, pick up times, etc. The holiday went like clockwork. Super efficient. The Licensed Guides were clear, on point, interesting, and engaging. My experience was more of a dialog, a conversation vs a one-way data dump. Thoroughly enjoyed the time with the Guides who pointed out the specific details of the ancient world bringing it to life from five thousand years ago. I cannot stress enough how these professionals made a significant difference in my travel experience. I did not want to purchase anything but I did want to aquire prayer beads, which are very meaningful. Mohammed (Jiiimy) helped me in this regard. Can I give more than five stars???
