  14 Days Ancient Egypt – Private Tour Review Overall, this was a very good tour. The itinerary was well organized, and the guides were excellent. We paid extra for a strictly private tour for two, which suited our needs very well and was worth it. Accommodation Recommendation: If possible, I strongly recommend staying in Cairo rather than Giza. Where we stayed in Giza, there was little to do in the evenings and nowhere convenient to walk after the day’s tours. Staying in central Cairo would give you the flexibility to explore in the evenings. Even at an additional cost, I believe it would be worthwhile. Guides & Coordination: We had different guides and drivers throughout the tour, and every one of them was personable, professional, and knowledgeable. I would rate our guides 10/10 across the board. Special thanks to: Mostaffa (Coordinator) – Quite responsive via WhatsApp and quick to resolve any issues. However, I would have appreciated receiving pick-up times, flight details, and hotel names earlier than just the day before. Mohammed (Giza & GEM) – Quickly resolved a mix-up when another guest was mistakenly added to our private tour. Sharif (Memphis, Dashur & Saqqara) – Went above and beyond, assisting with currency exchange and navigating a very hectic airport transfer for our flight to Aswan. Mohammed (White Desert) – Fantastic sense of humour and made the experience especially fun. Peter (Aswan & Edfu) – Engaging storyteller. Emy Samy (Karnak, Luxor & Valley of the Kings) – Extremely knowledgeable and personable. She shared not only historical insight but also meaningful context about Egyptian culture. You can tell she truly loves what she does. Ahmed (Dendera) and Naellah (Alexandria) – Both very good. Hurghada Stay – 7/10 Our all-inclusive resort (Serenity Alma Heights / Serenity Fun City) was clean and fine overall, but it catered primarily to families with young children (wave pool and amusement park on site). As a senior couple, we would have preferred a quieter, more centrally located resort. It was located in Makadi Heights, about 40 minutes from Hurghada downtown, making it difficult to explore beyond the resort. A marina-area location in Makadi or Hurgada with more activity would have better suited us. Nile Cruise – Blue Shadow 3 A simple, clean, and comfortable boat. Service, food, and cleanliness were all 9/10. Recommended Improvement Our 11:00 p.m. flight from Hurghada returned us to Cairo around 1:00 a.m., with hotel arrival close to 2:00 a.m. The next morning’s Alexandria tour had an 8:30 a.m. pick-up. An earlier afternoon flight would have allowed for proper rest before the next day’s tour. Overall, this was a very positive experience with outstanding guides. With a few logistical adjustments, it would easily have been excellent.Show more

  We have recently returned from a 14 day tour and have had just the best time. The guides were amazing, friendly, full of information and very passionate about there history. All the drivers and transport were on time for the majority of our tours. Tour Radar seem to run a tight ship and are organised which makes it worry free. The only issue we had was the cabins on our cruise up the Nile were right at the back over the engines which made the rooms black with diesel fumes and very smelly. We were unable to change rooms. It felt occasionally that we were left with the not so good rooms. We asked to change hotel at one point and they were very accomodating.Show more

Mostafa gave us clear instructions and visibility every day on WhatsApp, and answered all of our questions. We particularly liked the Nile cruise, and the Diving session in Hurghada (this is an extra activity). I definitely recommend planning your Egypt trip with them!Show more

  We’re on our 6th day & currently staying at the Serenity Hotel in Hurghada. So car, Skyway Egypt has been very much responsive and active in answering all our questions & concerns…they will definitely move heaven to make sure all is well during the tour; from the tour guides to accommodations and transportation. Be sure to clearly communicate them closely for changes in skeds, itineraries and accommodations before and during the tour to avoid surprises. Mostafa, the tour manager, will patiently attend to ALL your needs. He’s available 24/7 via WhatsApp. Be aware though that the flight from Cairo to Aswan can be delayed (ours flew 3 hrs. from the original departure 🤣). Not sure about the Luxor to Cairo which is still 3 days away. Our guides Sara in Cairo & Imad in Aswan & Lexor are both egyptologists so you can be sure they’ve very much knowledgable about the museum, temples and of course the pyramids.Show more

  It was a GREAT trip! It was a super memorable trip! Egypt Skyway Tours is very easy to deal with and very responsive. I booked this trip 9 months before the actual departure date. Skyway was open for negotiation and gave us an add-on tour at not cost which most tour operators will charge extra. During that 9 months, there was one significant price drop. Skyway matched the new price when I reached out to them. Skyway was also very responsive answering any questions and requests that I had during the 14-days tour. Making restaurant reservations and extending hotel check-out time are some of the examples. I believe Skyway's14-day itinerary is one of the very best. We did every top things Egypt has to offer. All the major pyramids, temples, historical sites, the Niles, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, the desert...we did all of them!! Highly recommended! Hotels and cruise arrangements were at the "tourist" class. They were acceptable but can be better. We did complain to Skyway about our hotel in Giza. Skyway took action and put us in a different hotel upon our returned to Giza in the later part of our trip. Shopping is very limited. Our tour guides were generally very open to tell us what to expect. If we don't like to it, we can just leave. There was no pressure. If you were to pick this tour, I would suggest the following: (1) Work with Skyway for better hotels/cruise; (2) Opt to drive from Hurghada back to Cairo. Hurghada airport is just very bad. For the amount of wait time, you may well drive to Cairo. You will not regret this. It is truly a GREAT tour!!Show more

  My overall experience was above expectation; however, there are some areas that need improvement. 1) Upon landing in Cairo, there was no representative to greet me. I was expecting to see some one with a sign with my Name on it. Even after getting my luggage and exiting did not see the representative. After calling to confirm; turns out my representative was literally standing next to me. His sign listed another touring company. (Blue sky??) It would be most helpful to have a sign with the name of the person or at least the name of the touring company they consulted. 2) Activity fees need to be explained prior to leaving home as well emphasizing the need to have a VISA card. Also explain when/how to tip tour guides, drivers, employees, etc. 3) Communicating what the next activity was and who to expect for pick up. Because many of the guides and drivers did not adequately speak or understand English as well as I would have liked. 4) Unfortunately, some of the activities did not happen; however, I was informed that they would be refunded. All in all everything worked out. Gratefully every time I called Tour Rador for confirmation, someone always answered and guide me.Show more

  Overall was very good. One of the destinations was not worth the 4 hour drive each way to visit and one guide that was not born to do the work they do. The hotel in Cairo was close to the Pyramids, but despite the name, the Pyramids were barely seen. The trip was well organised but we had to constantly contact the organisers the day before to get details for the following day instead of that being forthcoming from them. Egypt is a great cultural and historical trip to do and we are glad to do it but is a bit stressful the objectification of all the sellers on trying to get money out of us. Nothing to do with the trip but a bit more information could be shared with the guests on tip amounts, normal price of things, etc, so that we could have planned ahead. Also every single visit implies more payments from us, which was noted from before the trip.Show more
