3 Day Cairo Itinerary, incl. Giza and Downtown Cairo
The Nile Valley unfolds over 3 days, showcasing 8 major sites. Day 1: Cairo arrival. Day 2: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Saqqara Step Pyramid, and Memphis ruins. Day 3: Egyptian Museum treasures and Coptic Cairo's historic churches.

- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo & Setup
Plan for about an hour from Cairo International Airport to your hotel in Giza. Try to book an early arrival since Cairo traffic is unpredictable. Choose a hotel with pyramid views (ask when booking) for your first look at these ancient monuments. Meet your Egyptologist guide and get settled. Take the evening to rest since you have busy days ahead.

- Day 2
Giza Pyramids Complex & Ancient Memphis
Start at 7:30 AM to avoid crowds and heat at the Giza Plateau. You'll visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus, plus the Sphinx. Pack sunscreen and plenty of water since there's minimal shade. After lunch, visit Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest major stone building in the world. End your day in Memphis, the ancient Egyptian capital. One traveler noted: "Our guide could actually read all hieroglyphics, which made the experience at Saqqara so much more meaningful than just looking at old stones."

- Day 3
Downtown Cairo's Cultural Heritage
Schedule your final day carefully. If you're flying out, book an evening flight. Start early at the Egyptian Museum before the crowds arrive. The Tutankhamun exhibits are essential viewing. Next, visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue in Coptic Cairo. Finish at the Mohammed Ali Mosque in the Citadel for amazing city views. Plan for a flight after 3 PM to avoid rushing.

3 Day Egypt Nile Cruise Itinerary, incl. Aswan and Luxor
A grand tour of the Nile Valley reveals Kom Ombo's dual temple, Edfu's Ptolemaic complex, and crosses Esna Lock. Egyptologists illuminate architectural details while sailing past ancient shorelines. Full board dining and comfortable berth cabin accommodation included.

- Day 1
Aswan to Kom Ombo
Your journey starts at 11:10 AM with hotel pickup in Aswan. You'll board the ship around 1 PM. Get there early to avoid the strongest sun of the day. "A great way to travel from Aswan to Luxor and see the Nile, though you only really get one day to see everything as we left in the night," one traveler notes. The afternoon cruise takes you past Nubian villages where daily life unfolds along the river. Remember to buy water before boarding since it's not included on most boats. You'll reach Kom Ombo around sunset to visit its distinctive double temple. Bring something warm to wear since temple visits can get cool in the evening.

- Day 2
Edfu to Luxor
You'll need to wake up at 5 AM for the Edfu Temple visit by horse and carriage. Some guests question this early start, but it helps you avoid crowds and intense heat. The temple is remarkable with its mix of Greek, Roman and Egyptian architecture. Back on the boat, you'll pass through the Esna Lock system, which takes 2-3 hours, before reaching Luxor around 5 PM. This is a good time to relax on deck and watch Egyptian countryside life go by. One guest noted: "The boat food was buffet style with a nice selection of dishes - though desserts could be better."

- Day 3
Luxor Departure
Amazing 2 Nights Nile Cruise From Aswan To Luxor including Tours and Abu Simbel
Six iconic destinations unfold over 3 days from Aswan to Luxor. Abu Simbel's rock-cut temples lead to Kom Ombo's dual temple of Sobek and Horus, Edfu's preserved Temple of Horus, Esna Lock crossing, and Luxor's Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple. Costs approx. $180 per day.

- Amazing 2 Nights Nile Cruise From Aswan To Luxor including Tours and Abu Simbel
Sailing was great and a good range of food for the buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Communication could have been better as in quicker messages sent earlier rather than us having to ask about tour guides and also drivers not communicating re stops if any especially on the 3 hr journeys. Tour guides ranges from average to great. Overall, good service
