Itinerary

Day 1
Mombasa to Taita Hills Sanctuary
Your hotel pickup happens at 5:30 am, and you'll head inland toward Taita Hills Sanctuary for the drive to Voi. You'll catch the sunrise along the way, which is when the light's best for seeing the landscape. Once you arrive, a guide takes you out on a game-viewing safari to look for big cats and other wildlife around the area. The morning safari wraps up at Saltlick Safari Lodge where you can grab refreshments and take some photos before heading to Taita Hills Safari Lodge for lunch. After eating, you'll make the drive back to your coastal hotel in Mombasa.

The early morning Nairobi game drive met my expectations. The driver was very knowledgeable and pointed out the animals in the park. He was very friendly and took our directions well to get a good photo the animals. We even got to see a rare daytime hunt of two lionesses. A spectacular morning.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before February 16th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 16th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Samson's Safaris. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Samson's Safaris will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
