January Group Tour Dates: We run group departures throughout January with fixed starts every week. Once you confirm your preferred dates we will match you with the nearest group. Equipment Rental: Yes you can rent all climbing equipment (boots, jackets, trousers, sleeping bags, etc.) here in Moshi. All gear is checked, clean and suitable for Kilimanjaro. Booking Here vs Website: The itinerary and services are exactly the same. This platform allows us to offer special partner rates and promotions, which is why the price may be slightly lower than on our website.

Do you have open slots in these groups? Is it also possible to include a cultural tour to Maasai tribes?

yes we do have a slot for easter group, ofcourse yes you can include cultural tour to maasai boma as well

Is this the best route in terms of costs? How does it compare to the other routes? Are we required to come with our equipment or there is some availeb?

Lemosho route is an excellent route to climb Kilimanjaro with a high success rate. If you have your own equipment it is allowed to come with it. We also have all equipment for rent.

Trekking Kilimanjaro via the 8-day Lemosho Route with Zara Tanzania was one of the best experiences of my life, made even better with two close friends. From planning to summit, everything was seamless. Isdory, our trip designer, was responsive and made the process easy, with very affordable pricing and great value for money. The trek was challenging, and we were rained on two nights, but the waterproof tents kept us completely dry. The Lemosho Route allowed great acclimatization. Our guides, Martin and Swaleh, were outstanding as they were motivating us, monitoring our health, and keeping us safe. The food was surprisingly excellent, and the sunrise at Uhuru Peak was unforgettable. This climb wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible crew.Show more

We booked an 8-day Kilimanjaro hike via the Lemosho with Zara Tours and it was all perfect. Communication was quick with Patrick, and he helped us in choosing the route and level of luxury that was suitable for us. The trek was very well organized, and they made sure we had the right equipment and enough layers to keep us warm. Our guides Juma and Samuel were excellent and did an amazing job of taking care of us. They kept a comfortable pace and let us gradually acclimatize to the altitude. The porters who did all the heavy lifting were properly equipped and very friendly. Food was plentiful for everyone with lots of tea and warm soup to start every meal. I highly recommend Zara Tours as an ideal local company for Kilimanjaro trekking.Show more

  The cost for renting all necessary climbing gear will be shared with you shortly. I'll send you the equipment list and once you confirm what you need we'll provide the total rental cost.
  
  Yes you should plan to arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). To book you can simply select the 18th as your departure date on TourRadar.
  
  Arriving at JRO on the evening of the 17th around 6:00 PM works perfectly we'll arrange your airport pickup and transfer to the hotel.

  Early March can be lovely, but as the month progresses, the rains can start to set in, making for muddy trails, cloudy skies, and poor visibility. In late March and late May, you can get lucky with some dry weather, but it's a bit hit or miss. April to early May are the long rains, and not suitable for climbing.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 22nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 22nd, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Zara Tours (Zara Tanzania Adventures). The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Zara Tours (Zara Tanzania Adventures) will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
