- Day 1
Belgrade
Landing at Nikola Tesla International Airport, your guide meets you in arrivals to handle money exchange and give you the lay of the land about Belgrade. They'll get you checked into your hotel, which is about 20 minutes from the airport. After settling in, the rest of the day is yours to wander around and get a feel for the city at your own pace.

Belgrade
After breakfast, a guided tour takes you through Belgrade's major sites. You'll see Belgrade Fortress with its gates and monuments, check out the modern architecture of New Belgrade, walk through Zemun's charming Central European streets, and visit the Saint Sava Temple. The afternoon is free so you can browse museums or explore the neighborhoods on your own. If you're up for it, Skadarlija quarter in the evening offers traditional Serbian food and nightlife.

Belgrade - Novi Sad - Belgrade
After breakfast, you head toward Novi Sad. First stop is Sremski Karlovci, where you'll walk the cobbled streets and tour the first Serbian High School along with the Old Patriarch's Court, Assembly Church, and Theological Lyceum. At a local wine cellar, try the region's famous Bermet wine. From there, you'll see Petrovaradin Fortress on the Danube before arriving in Novi Sad. Walk the Zmaj Jovina pedestrian zone, see Svetozar Miletic monument and the cathedral. The afternoon is yours to explore before heading back to Belgrade.

Belgrade - Niš - Sofia
After breakfast, travel to Niš, Serbia's third-largest city. You'll tour the Red Cross Nazi Concentration Camp museum, explore Niš Fortress on the Nišava River, and see the Banovina Building, Liberators Monument, and the unique Skull Tower. After some free time for local food, it's about a 2-hour drive to Sofia, Bulgaria. Check in at your hotel and spend the afternoon on your own.

- Day 5
Sofia - Rila Monastery - Skopje
After breakfast and checking out, a 90-minute walking tour covers Sofia's main sites: St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral, National Theatre, St. George Rotunda, Bulgarian Presidency, St. Sofia Monument, and Serdica ruins. Following a coffee break, you travel toward Skopje with a stop at Rila Monastery, a UNESCO site in the mountains with its frescoed church and cloisters. Later in Skopje, after checking in, another 90-minute walking tour explores Macedonia Square, the Stone Bridge, Skopje Fortress, the Ottoman Old Town, and Mother Theresa's birthplace. Your evening is free for local food and wine.

- Day 6
Skopje - Matka Canyon - Ohrid
After breakfast and checkout, head 20 kilometers west to Matka Canyon for a one-hour boat ride through mountains dropping into a deep gorge with green water. After refreshment, continue toward Ohrid, a UNESCO site called 'The Jerusalem of the Balkans.' A walking tour takes you through the Old Town's cobbled streets up to the Church of St John at Kaneo for views over the lake and mountains. You'll also see the Church of St. Sophia, the Roman amphitheater, and Samuel Fortress. The evening is yours to explore the lake, Old Town, or take a boat tour.

Ohrid - Albania - Tirana
After breakfast, travel 30 minutes into Albania. In Elbasan, the third-largest city, explore the Castle, King's Mosque, St Mary Orthodox Church, and Clock Tower. Then head to Tirana, a vibrant city known for its energy. Check in at your hotel and see the Mosque of Et'hem Bey, the 35-meter-high Watch Tower, the famous Roman Mosaic from Emperor Justinian's 6th-century castle, the Tomb of Kaplan Pasha, and the Ura e Tabakerve bridge. Your afternoon is free to discover Tirana on your own, with optional visits to Bunk'Art 1 or the Dajti Cable Car for city views.

Tirana - Shkoder - Budva
Leaving Albania, you drive through national park landscape passing Southern Europe's largest lake, Skadar, and arrive at Shkoder. The mighty Venetian Rozafa fortress impresses before you explore the Old Town, Shkodra Cathedral, and Ebu Bekr Mosque. After refreshment, drive along the Adriatic coast to Budva, Montenegro's main tourist spot. Check in at your hotel and spend the evening by the sea or in the Old Town.

Budva - Perast - Kotor - Budva
After breakfast, head toward the Bay of Kotor, a deep fjord along the southern coast. You'll stop in Perast, a quiet town of 300 people with baroque palaces, walk the promenade, then take a boat to the 15th-century 'Our Lady of the Rocks' Church on an islet. In Kotor, a guided walking tour covers this medieval town from the 12th-14th centuries: the Cathedral of St. Tryphon, Maritime Museum, various palaces, and Old Square. Grab lunch with views of the medieval architecture before returning to Budva with free afternoon time.

After breakfast, travel about 2.5 hours to Croatia and enter Dubrovnik's medieval walls. A guided walking tour shows the Rector's Palace, Sponza Palace, and Orlando's Tower on Luza Square. Free time lets you walk the ramparts overlooking the sea, visit the Maritime Museum in St. John's Castle, explore Game of Thrones sites, check out Lokrum island and city walls, or ride the cable car. Later, travel to Trebinje in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a charming town blending Mediterranean, Central European, and Ottoman styles. Check in and explore the small streets or dine.

Trebinje - Blagaj - Mostar - Sarajevo
After breakfast, travel to Blagaj, a 16th-century town with Ottoman architecture on the UNESCO Tentative List. Tour the monastery in a fairy-tale setting beneath cliffs on the emerald-green Buna River. Continue to Mostar, a medieval town and one of the Balkans' top sights. Walk narrow cobblestone streets, cross the reconstructed UNESCO-protected Old Bridge (you might see divers jumping from it), visit the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, Crooked Bridge, and Old Town. Free lunch time is by the Neretva River with bridge views. Head to Sarajevo, check in at your hotel, and explore on your own, perhaps trying the traditional čevapčići beef patties.

- Day 12
Sarajevo - Višegrad - Zlatibor
After breakfast, explore Sarajevo, rich with history. Start at the Turkish Bazaar (Bascarsija), an old trading place with artisan workshops and Ottoman architecture. See the Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque, one of the finest Ottoman structures in the world. You'll notice the contrast between Ottoman mosques, Austro-Hungarian buildings, and Orthodox churches. Pass by the 1984 Winter Olympics stadium and visit the Gavrilo Princip Museum. Look for the Sarajevo Roses, flower-shaped memorials in pavements filled with red cement, reminders of the war. Then travel to Višegrad to see the famous Mehmed Pasha Sokolovic Bridge, a UNESCO site and the Balkans' finest Ottoman architecture. Visit Stone Town, a project by director Emir Kusturica, with lunch here. Continue toward Zlatibor mountain in Serbia, known for healthy air, folk architecture, native culture, and good food. Check in and enjoy dinner with free time to relax.

- Day 13
Zlatibor - Sargan Eight - Wooden City - Mokra Gora - Belgrade
After breakfast, head toward West Serbia, known for wild nature, good food, and friendly people. Ride the famous Šargan Eight narrow-gauge vintage railway, a unique line operating for fun with stops at viewpoints overlooking Mokra Gora. Authentic wooden cars with wood-burning stoves take you back in time. Stop at Wooden City, built by director Emir Kusturica during filming of 'Life is a Miracle,' where he restored mountain chalets into a settlement. Enjoy lunch here. Visit 'The House on Drina River,' one of Serbia's most famous attractions, an isolated log house on a river stone. Take photos and grab refreshment before returning to Belgrade. Check in at your hotel and spend the afternoon saying goodbye to the city, walking around, or dining out.
