I am looking for a tour that offers a Christmas experience. Do you have tours over the Christmas holidays?

The tour you are inquiring about does have dates over the Christmas holidays. However, we do not yet have the pricing for the next winter season. We are working on preparing it. You can review the itinerary first, and if it fits your plans, we would be happy to provide you with this season's pricing for booking.

Can the hotel accommodate 3 person in 1 room? Maybe with extra bed? How much is the additional charge? Also, how about the transport in Jasper, from train station to hotel, and from hotel to the bus transfer, do we have to arrange uber or taxi by ourselves? Or is it walking distance?

Regarding the bed arrangement, please note that triple and quadruple rooms do not come with extra beds for the 3rd or 4th guest. A triple room normally has a maximum of two beds only. The hotel will be located in Jasper town and is usually within walking distance. The final hotel name will be confirmed about three days before departure. If the hotel turns out to be a bit far for you, taxis are easy to arrange. We usually select hotels that are conveniently located and easy to access on foot.

What time does this tour start on Day 1? is it 15:00pm like it mentions below? or do we need to arrive earlier?

Train will leave the Vancouver station at 1500PM, but it would be ideal if you could arrive at least 30 minutes before for checking in.

Interested to know how much to upgrade to a sleeper seat

Unfortunately, the sleeper berth on March 20 is sold out. However, the only available date in March is March 9, with an upgrade fee of CAD $760 for two adults for the last two upper berths. Please note that the price is subject to change.

Unfortunately, the sleeper berths on your preferred tour date are sold out, and only economy seats are currently available. The next available date with sleeper berths is January 5th. If you would like to change to this date, the upgrade fee is CAD $790 for two people. Regarding accommodation, the upgrade fee for two nights at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is CAD $840. The above price is subject to change. However, due to hotel policy and the tour itinerary, we regret that we are unable to arrange accommodations at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise or Fairmont Banff Springs in Banff.

Do you allow installment payments, with the final balance paid closer to the departure date (ideally around 10 days before the tour)?

Installment payments need to be discussed directly with TourRadar, as payments are processed through their platform. Generally, the final balance is required at least 32 days prior to departure.

How to upgrade the train to sleep plus? How much it cost?

Unfortunately, upgrade to sleeper class is not available for March 31 departure. Also, currently sleeper class sold out in March and April. There might be spots release later, or would you be ok go with econ seat?

Is there somewhere I can download a more detailed itinerary with the details of each VIA RAIL trip? Is it just the one overnight train journey? I am looking to travel from Vancouver to Calgary in mid March so if you have any spots that have just become available on other suitable tours let me know.

Is this price of $3,224.20 for a single traveler and does it include an upgrade to VIA RAIL sleeper or is this economy class?

We are from Aus and are looking for a tour starting in Vancouver and ending near Banff. Happy for the tour to end in Calgary but we would hop off in Banff to see our son who is working there. We are active and would like a group but not all camping and dates would be either late jun into July or late September/oct.

We have other tour that departure in Summer 2025 (June - Oct). It is a 5 days train + bus tour. Day1 Take VIA RAIL from Vancouver to Jasper. Day2 Arrive at Jasper, Stay in Jasper. Day3 Columbia Icefield, stay in Banff. Day5 Banff , stay in Banff. Day5 Lake Louise, return to Calgary Airport after tour, or you can leave the tour at Banff.

For 7 day winter VIA Vancouver to Calgary, on the first night, do we sleep in our seats or are we required to get a sleeper cabin? Couldn't find the price of a sleeper cabin.

  We recommend that you arrive at the VIA Rail station at least one hour prior to the train departure, as self check-in is required for the VIA train. Please note that you will travel on the VIA train independently and enjoy free time in Jasper before joining our guided tour. You will meet our tour guide on the morning of Day 5. Day 1: Please arrive at the Vancouver VIA Rail station by 2:00 PM and complete the self check-in process independently. (This tour includes an economy seat. If you wish to upgrade to a sleeper berth, please advise your preferred tour date, and we will be happy to check availability and the applicable upgrade fee for you.) Day 2: Arrive in Jasper at approximately 11:00 AM and proceed with self check-in at the Jasper hotel. Day 3: Free time in Jasper. We recommend booking optional activities during your stay. Popular options include the Maligne Valley and Pleckaitis Canyon Icewalk Guided Tour or the Winter Wildlife Discovery Guided Tour. Alternatively, you may enjoy exploring Jasper town at your leisure. Day 4: Take the shuttle bus from Jasper to Banff and complete self check-in at the Banff hotel. Day 5–7: Meet our tour guide and join the guided bus tour.

  During the winter season, we only offer the VIA Rail tour departing from Vancouver, which includes must-visit locations in the Rockies before the end of April. The VIA train will depart from Vancouver to Jasper. After spending two leisurely days in Jasper, you will take a shuttle bus to Banff and join our bus tour the following day.
