I'm looking for a trip to/from Cape Town from ~16 May through 25 May, with flexible on where exactly I head to. I'd love to explore Namibia and/or Botswana, and also open to traveling around South Africa.

We have tours: NCDS11 (CPT - WDH) 10May- 20 May; SCDS11 (WDH-CPT) 22May - 01Jun. We have a tour from Swakopmund to Livingstone, Zambia (NDDE12). Unfortunately, none of these tours fits your dates.

Any single supplement? Can you provide more information on the type of accommodations? Vegetarian ok?

Unfortunately we cannot offer a single supplement on this tour; accommodation is in twin rooms sharing with another passenger of the same sex. The standard of accommodation is tourist class (ie not star-rated but clean and comfortable) We do cater for vegetarians.

What is the cancelation policy?

Cancellation Policy: 56 days or more prior to departure: Deposit. 42 to 55 days prior to departure: 35% Tour Price forfeit. 28 to 41 days prior to departure: 50% Tour Price forfeit. 14 to 27 days prior to departure: 75% Tour Price forfeit. Less than 14 days prior to departure: 100% Tour Price forfeit.

What is the Adventure Pass?

Every Acacia Overland tour has an Adventure Pass which is paid to your tour leader in Africa at the beginning of the tour (or pre-paid by arrangement prior to your tour). This is separate and in addition to the Tour Price, and covers selected park entries, activities and excursions along the way where payment goes directly to the supplier to ensure local suppliers benefit directly from the income.

The trip overall was wonderful for what it was described as. It is camping, but the facilities were great condition and I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed at great locations and saw many great sites. The main guide Justin made a big difference in adding to the joy of the trip. He was a great communicator, chef, guide, animal spotter, and funny. Our driver was also great (i don't have right spelling but think something like Savius). The long drives were tough some days, but we covered a lot of ground and it comes as expected. it was a fun adventure and we had many wonderful experiences out in God's creation. The overland truck/bus that we used was a little worn down, but nothing too bad. We were comfortable. The food was really delicious, especially the dinners, and had good variety for dinner. The breakfasts and lunches got tiresome and were pretty repetitive, but oh well. That is my main critique, wish we had a few meals to eat out on the road and it would be quicker and less cleanup. The tour guide, Crispy, was awesome and friendly and he tried his best to make sure everyone was comfortable. There is always room for improvement. The truck/bus is old and need upgrading. The truck shakes a lot and makes a lot of noise. Some of the windows do not work properly and add to the noise. Some windows could not close and there was plenty of dust that cause sneezing and coughing. The sun was extremely hot during the day while traveling and there was no curtains at the windows to block the sun. Accommodation at some sites were better than some but the overall experience was great.Show more

I upgraded some of the time to accommodation in the lodges ( as like comfy bed over a tent :) ) Some of the tour group sadly were not always sociable and bit disrespectful to mature members of group and bit moody but that's pot luck. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 61 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
