Lyon to Tournus
Your flight arrives in Lyon by 2 pm, and from there you'll head to the ship for a 5 pm boarding. After getting settled in your cabin, you'll have dinner on board this first evening.

Tournus
You'll walk through Tournus with a local guide who'll show you the key sites around this significant monastic hub in Burgundy. The town's history as a religious center comes through in the architecture and layout. Later in the afternoon, head back to the ship for a cheese tasting session before docking overnight in Trévoux. You'll have time to settle in and explore the town on your own if you'd like.

Lyon
The ship sails to Lyon, and you can choose how to spend your day. There's a bike tour of the architectural district with your Adventure Host, or you might prefer a guided walking tour starting from Fourvière Hill that takes you through the Old Town's churches, cafés, and the winding medieval streets. Back onboard, there's an onboard lecture covering WWII and the French Resistance, followed by live entertainment after dinner.

Lyon
Start with a culinary walk through Lyon to see why it's considered France's gastronomic capital. The rest of the day is yours to explore. Browse the local produce markets and parks, rent a bike from the ship, or wander around checking out the city's collection of over 100 murals. Later you'll cruise toward Tournon.

Tournon to Viviers to Avignon
A guided walking tour takes you through Tournon, featuring the 16th-century castle in this medieval city. After lunch, you'll have a relaxing sail to Viviers. In the late afternoon, another guided tour shows you Viviers' pale stone buildings and its Romanesque cathedral. Live entertainment happens on board before you cruise toward Avignon.

- Day 6
Avignon
Avignon offers options: bike around the city with your Adventure Host or join a guided tour focusing on the ramparts and the Palace of the Popes. If you want something different, optional excursions go to the Roman Pont du Gard aqueduct or wine cellars at Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Outside scheduled activities, you can wander the streets, check out the local art and cultural spots, and see the medieval Pont Saint-Bénézet. The ship heads toward Arles in the evening, with live entertainment before departure.

Arles
Pick a morning activity in Arles: a power walk with your Adventure Host, a painting workshop where you'll learn Van Gogh's techniques and create your own piece, or a guided walking tour of the Roman Amphitheater. After that, spend the day however you like, maybe stopping by Le Café van Gogh for wine and relaxation.
