I had dreamed of this trip for more than 20 years and it did not disappoint! I read reviews and see that others are very happy with their guides, but I have to say unless they were lucky enough to get Patric, they did not have the best! He was knowledgeable, patient, indulgent, interesting, so much fun, and made my trip that much better. He was kind enough to teach me some Swahili, even tho I imagine I was bugging him a bit. He definitely has a fan club with all four of us! Great Lake Expedition overall was wonderful and I will definitely use them again next time!Show more

Great to read that you found the attentive services of our guide and the Great Lake Expedition team both professional and timely...we do our level best to get back to questions certainly within 24hrs and depending on time differences this can be within a matter of hours as seems to be the case with your planning with Rasheedy - he certainly has a wealth of knowledge, and the fact that he has born here, work here with some years of experience, leading a thousands of tourists safely to the roof of africa, alone is a great advantage when designing custom made trip as all information is first hand and personally experienced so changes and customization are very natural and flowing.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 19th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 19th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Great Lake Expedition. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Great Lake Expedition will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
