Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi to Lake Nakuru
You'll leave Nairobi early in the morning and drive toward Lake Nakuru Park, arriving mid-morning after a game drive along the way. After checking in and grabbing lunch, the afternoon takes you back out for another game drive, then a walk along the lake shores where you can see rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and other wildlife. The evening brings you back to Lake Nakuru Lodge for the night.

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
Following breakfast, you'll cross the Great Rift Valley floor heading toward Masai Mara Game Reserve. Once you check in at the lodge, grab lunch and you have time to relax or use the pool if you'd like. Later in the afternoon, head out on a game drive searching for the Big Five as daylight fades over the plains.

Masai Mara
This full day focuses on game viewing across Masai Mara's grasslands during the great migration season. You'll search for lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, and zebras throughout the day. Stop at the Mara River to spot hippos, and you'll carry a picnic lunch so you can keep viewing. Optional activities include a hot air balloon ride or a visit to a Maasai village to learn about their culture.

Masai Mara to Serengeti
Leaving Masai Mara early, you'll drive to the Kenya/Tanzania border at Isebania. After crossing and handling immigration, you'll switch to a new vehicle and continue into Serengeti National Park. In the afternoon, you'll do game drives through the Northern corridors where the migration herds are preparing to cross the Mara River.

Serengeti
Morning and evening game drives take you through the west-north sections of Serengeti as the migration builds toward its journey back north. You'll look for massive herds of wildebeest and zebra, plus lions, leopards, cheetahs, impalas, buffalo, and various bird species across the open plains.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, you'll descend into Ngorongoro Crater to see wildlife on its grassland floor. The crater holds roughly 30,000 animals including the Big Five. You can explore the world's largest intact caldera surrounded by 610-meter walls, a Natural Wonder of the World with year-round animal populations.

Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara
You're heading to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of viewing. The park has lush groundwater forests, woodland, grasslands, and swamps where over 350 bird species live. Look for the park's famous tree-climbing lions plus buffalo, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and smaller animals. Later, check out the hot sulphur springs at Maji Moto.

Lake Manyara to Tarangire National Park
Following breakfast, a naturalist guide leads you into Tarangire National Park, Tanzania's third largest park and known for its unusually large elephant population. The landscape features distinctive baobab trees and wildlife concentrations along the Tarangire River, which is the only permanent water source in the area. During your time there you'll encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, and around six thousand elephants. The day includes a bush walk and a cultural visit with semi-nomadic tribes before an evening drive back to your lodge for dinner.

Tarangire to Arusha
Your final morning includes a game drive at Tarangire to see large herds of elephants and buffalo, big cats, and rarer species like African wild dogs, kudu, oryx, and gerenuk. You'll also experience the park's exceptional bird diversity before driving back to Arusha for hotel drop-off or Kilimanjaro Airport.
