ABC 트레킹에 비해 덜 알려진 코스였지요. 원래는 다른 에이전시와 이미 계약을 맺어 두었으나, 갑작스럽게 연락이 끊어지는 바람에 새로운 에이전시를 찾아야 했습니다. 출발 일주일 전, 동행한 친구가 급히 네팔의 여러 현지 에이전시를 검색하고 연락을 취했습니다. 그중 선택한 곳이 바로 Himalayan Sanctuary Adventure였습니다. 갑작스러운 취소로 불안한 상황이었지만, 여러 차례 연락을 주고받는 과정에서 신뢰가 쌓였고, 가장 합리적인 가격도 제시해 주었습니다. 무엇보다 저희가 걱정하던 트레킹 코스에 대한 우려를 말끔히 해소해 주었습니다. 예를 들어 우기로 인해 산사태가 난 구간, 걸어서 이동해야 하는 거리 등 현지의 생생한 정보를 정확히 알고 있었습니다. 안전을 생각하면 이곳밖에 없겠다는 확신이 들었습니다. 이번 트레킹은 시작부터 끝까지 체계적으로 관리되고 완벽하게 조직되어 있어, 저는 일정이나 준비에 대한 걱정 없이 트레킹 자체를 온전히 즐길 수 있었습니다. 우기였음에도 불구하고 매일 아침 맑게 트인 날씨 덕분에 아름다운 풍경을 충분히 감상할 수 있었습니다. 특히 Mulde와 푼힐에서 바라본 안나푸르나와 피시테일의 장관은 지금도 다시 그곳에 오래 머물고 싶을 만큼 인상적이었습니다. 가이드 Bishnu는 경험이 매우 풍부할 뿐 아니라 넓은 현지 네트워크를 갖고 있었습니다. 비수기였던 덕분인지 최고의 숙소를 예약해 주었고, 숙소는 편안했으며 식사도 훌륭했습니다. 와이파이와 충전도 제공되어 히말라야 산속에서도 문명의 혜택을 누릴 수 있었습니다. 저녁에는 과일 디저트까지 준비해 주어 긴 하루의 피로를 풀 수 있었습니다. 곳곳에서 세심한 배려가 느껴졌습니다. 포터 분 역시 묵묵하지만 든든한 분이었습니다. 히말라야 구석구석을 꿰고 있는 듯한 분이었고, 때로는 앞에서 리드해 주고, 저희가 지쳐 보일 때는 뒤에서 속도를 맞춰 주었습니다. 저희의 보행 속도와 컨디션에 맞춰 코스를 조정해 주어 부담 없이 저희 페이스대로 걸을 수 있었습니다. 이러한 맞춤형 진행 덕분에 트레킹은 더욱 즐거운 경험이 되었습니다. 마지막으로 가이드 Bishnu에게 깊은 감사를 전하고 싶습니다. 우리는 흔히 ‘웃음’을 친절의 기준으로 삼곤 합니다. 그러나 웃음은 사회적 맥락과 개인의 성격에 따라 달라지는 법이지요.   An unforgettable 50th birthday trip with Bishnu & Himalayan Sanctuary Adventure! I recently travelled to Nepal to celebrate my 50th birthday, and I could not have asked for a better guide and organiser than Bishnu from Himalayan Sanctuary Adventure. From the very beginning of my trip planning, Bishnu was there every step of the way, answering questions, organising logistics, and creating a perfect 5-day itinerary that combined trekking with sightseeing. When I first started looking at companies, Himalayan Sanctuary Adventure stood out immediately, not only for their reputation but also because of the glowing reviews about Bishnu. I specifically asked for him and now I can say with absolute confidence that everything people say is true, and more! Travelling as two female friends, trust and safety were top priorities for us. Bishnu exceeded our expectations. He made us feel comfortable, safe, and completely looked after throughout. Honestly, if I were travelling solo as a woman in Nepal, I would have no hesitation choosing Bishnu. He is reliable, genuine, and has such a calm and caring manner that you know you are in safe hands. Our itinerary included beautiful treks such as Sarangkot to Naudanda and the stunning hike up to Australian Camp, as well as sightseeing around Pokhara. Bishnu ensured everything ran smoothly, from transfers to boats, hikes, and local visits. What really impressed me was how flexible he was. If we wanted to adjust timings or go at a different pace, he happily accommodated us without ever making us feel rushed. He always accompanied us personally on every trip and transfer, which meant we could truly relax and enjoy every moment. I had booked hotels separately, but Bishnu still made sure all transport was organised to and from our accommodation daily. He and the driver met us each morning with a warm welcome, ready to start our adventures. It felt like travelling with someone who genuinely cared, not just a guide doing a job. Thanks to Bishnu and Himalayan Sanctuary Adventure, my 50th birthday trip was unforgettable. The scenery, the treks, the culture, all of it was made even more special by having Bishnu there to guide us. I very highly recommend Himalayan Sanctuary to anyone considering a trip to Nepal. And to the ladies out there thinking of travelling solo, Bishnu is your person!   Himalayan Sanctuary turned out to be the best choice for a two week Annapurna Circuit trek! Bishnu, who was the organiser and also our guide for the trip, was super helpful in the run up to the trek, providing tailored itineraries, packing lists and being very responsive to questions. From the moment of arriving in Kathmandu, we didn’t have to worry about anything, he was there waiting to pick us up, and from there everything was seamless. The food and accommodation throughout was always to a great standard, and Bishnu was very attentive to always make sure our needs were met. We were allowed to hike at our own pace with no rush, and plans made around our interests / requests. We enjoyed the evenings joking and playing cards with Bishnu and our porters, and the atmosphere was always a fun, relaxed one. We felt safe, looked after and comfortable all the way through the trip! Bishnu’s kindness and caring went well beyond just following the itinerary, and we will never forget this! Bishnu, the manager and our main contact (was also our guide on the hike), was very responsive and flexible at all times. All the tea houses / accommodations booked were great. Chosen porters were lovely too. Great value too in terms of price and cost. Had a lot of laughs with the team as well. Memories for life. Overall, an excellent experience and would highly recommend for anyone doing a short or long hike in the broader region!Show more

Three of us, average trekkers who are also seniors, reached out to him because of a very positive experience one of us had. Bishnu took it from there. He tailored the trip to ABC in a way that gave us the confidence that made our trip memorable. We were grateful that he was our guide. He was emotionally in tune with how we felt and knew was needed to do to make the trip a success. He made adjustments as needed. The places he chose for us to stay overnight were very appropriate for our needs. The porters he hired, Bhupen and Bishnu, were a great duo who worked seamlessly with him and us. Looking back, I believe I could not have done it without his meticulous planning and assistance. Safety precautions he took for us bearing in mind our age were truly appreciated!
