Once a booking is confirmed, we immediately proceed with securing the required permits for the selected dates. September is generally a very good period for gorilla and chimpanzee trekking. Permit shortages mainly occur during the peak high season months of June, July, and August. For early September—especially for a single traveler—availability is typically very good.

The tour was well organized and my guide, Nelson, was incredible! Nelson and Robert arranged for an airport transfer before and after my tour and also a driver for the city tour, George. George was on time and took me to numerous museums around town and to a local cafe for lunch. Nelson met us after the city tour and drove me to our accommodations outside of Volcanoes national park. This accommodation was unacceptable as there was no hot water, very dated, and needed a good deep cleaning. After the first night I was able to transfer to another hotel which was incredible. Both Nelson and Robert were able to make this a seamless transition and all fees were taken care of. Nelson was always professional, prepared, and on time- he was a delight to have as a tour guide! I would highly recommend him!Show more
