We 2 senior Americans truly enjoyed the entire guided tour that started in Luxor for 2 days that included the Jazz Crown Jubilee Riverboat cruise (very nice) for 5 days, 4 nights. Mohammed Ali is a wonderful pleasant English speaking Egyptian guide who was easy to understand. Mohammed took care of our needs and arranged feluca sailing, bicycle riding and a city tour via a carriage ride during our extra time in Luxor. Mohammed guided us thru the Valley of the Kings, Luxor temples and more on the east and west bank of the Nile. We spent two very nice fun filled days in Luxor before cruising south for more adventures along the Nile visiting multiple ancient sites with other guides. We flew back to Cairo from Aswan.Show more

We were a little disappointed with the food as it was largely the same buffet every day and not as flavoursome as we had expected, but plenty of choice. We loved the cruising down the nile and would have preferred more of that than sitting docked - usually between other boats so no view - with unpleasant fumes. We didn't have to go to any shop or anything like that, which is nice. Ancient tour company is very responsive throughout the entire process, from before booking to after booking. The tour is nice to explore several attractions from Luxor to Aswan. We didn't really enjoy the cruise itself though, the room was tiny, the food was mediocre at best, and we were just bored. Maybe this is just the nature of cruises. Hopefully there could be some kind of activities on the cruise, like games or something. The optional tours (hot air balloon, nubian village, abu simbel) were great as well. The driver to abu simbel made us feel unsafe because he was looking at his phone while traveling at high speed, but we talked to Ancient tour company who ensured that it would not happen again.Show more
