Only down side was the train rides to Luxor and then back to Cairo from Aswan. We chose the Classical Egypt and Nile cruise package. Our tour guide was Mohammed (Momo) and we had one of the best experiences with him. Throughout the tour he showed deep knowledge of the history and beliefs of the ancient Egyptians monarchs and people. He made it possible for us to link all the historic sites, from the great pyramids to the Nubian Philae temple. He was able to interpret site paintings and hieroglyphics for us to make sense of the tour. My highlights for the tour were the pyramids, the valley of the kings and the cruise.
