  I had Sam P as my tour leader, he made the whole experience so easy and I felt relaxed the whole time. Not only did he excel at the expectations of his job but he also became a friend during this time. He looked after all of us from the moment we met until when we said our goodbyes. He made this tour group into a family and created memories for all of us that I’m sure we will carry with us forever. Of course there were some incidents, that were no fault of Sam’s including delayed grey hounds. One in particular causing people who were participating in the scenic flight, to run straight to the transfer to the flight as the coach arrived the same time their transfer was meant to be leaving. Sam organised all of us and made sure all those people became priority in getting off the bus, while the rest of us concentrated on getting their bags and bringing them with us to the hostel. He remained collected and had control of the situation allowing us to trust him and that stated consistent through out the tour. Considering, this was sam’s first ever tour I believe he went above and beyond to make this experience for us the best he could. And he really allowed us to see the beauty of Australia.Show more

  The best experience of my life. This was my first tour I had ever done and it certainly will not be my last with the ultimate company. I had Sam P as my tour leader, he made the whole experience so easy and I felt relaxed the whole time.   The three weeks were an incredible and unforgettable experience. Our tour guide, Sam, did an excellent job of ensuring we reached every destination on time. Considering it was his very first tour, everything went remarkably smoothly. Sam consistently went above and beyond to ensure that everyone could still participate in activities despite unforeseen delays, such as with a Greyhound bus. Thanks to his dedication, we were still able to make it to experiences like the scenic flight. The amazing people I met along the way also played a significant role in making this trip so memorable. The itinerary was well-planned for the three weeks, though I felt that four nights in Cairns were slightly excessive. It might have been better to spend an additional night in Byron Bay or Sydney instead. Overall, it was an extraordinary experience that I will cherish for a lifetime. I would happily travel with Ultimate Travel again!Show more

  Tour guide was great the whole trip really put a lot of effort in to make sure everything was sorted and everyone was having a great time throughout the trip. I think the itinerary could do with a few more free days earlier on in the trip and would’ve liked to swap 2/4 days in cairns to stop off at noosa. Overall I loved the tour and would 100% recommended it to any traveller. As it was my first time on a tour like this I really appreciate that sam (tour guide) made me feel safe and secure the whole trip allowing me to relax and enjoy the whole experience.Show more

  I enjoyed some of the activities, like kayaking in byron bay and jet skiing in airlie beach. However, the focus of the tour was very much on partying, so you should bear this in mind when booking. I would have liked to learn more about the culture and history. The communication with the tour operator was also not very good. I received several emails with conflicting start times which was confusing. The Sydned add-on is absolutely not recommended. You are shown where the nearest supermarket etc is and then during the city tour you have to walk to the Opera House...and this was repeated again at the start of the actual trip.Show more

  Unfortunately our tour guide Marie made the trip frustrating and annoying for us as a group. Marie would leave information needed for next day very late and then blame ultimate for not giving her the correct information. Decided to leave the zoo early because she had seen what she had wanted to see which then left me having to make my own way back as she said she can’t give my train ticket to me. Marie had asked if anyone would like to go dolphin feeding which I was very keen for so expecting that I would be going I asked the night before what time shall we be ready which Marie replied saying there was not enough people to be able to go but hadn’t told us any of this so we had no time to plan and make our own way there. Marie was only interested in getting drunk saying we you can sleep when your dead when we was tired and making us feel bad about not going out. Marie would always be hard to speak to about anything for example one message she replied saying she was too busy to sort something out for us. Every time we had a question she barely knew the answers and not helping us at all. One night Marie said it was ultimate fault for all of this as they are not helping her enough on her first tour. Marie was also over heard talking about the group and certain individuals to the crew from the whit Sundays which is very unprofessional. A few people wrote to ultimate about all this but received a very basic reply saying they will look into it for training which doesn’t really help us. We spent a lot of money on this trip and we feel let down I will be advising people not to pick ultimate in the future and I know a lot of people agreeShow more

  Had such a great time on the 3 week tour and Hannah was the best tour guide we could ask for! She was so knowledgeable and always so keen to help (and would go and research the answers to any weird questions she didn’t know the answers to). She even made the weather hold out for us for most of the tour! ;)Show more
