Asked on May 16th, 2025Can I connect with the group for the 3 days tour. How can we make it happen?
Marina TravelOperator•Written May 2025The starting dates for this tour are the 25th and the 27th, there is no starting date on the 26th. Also, you would have to already be in Iceland on the 25th, arriving on that morning and getting to the tour would not be possible.

Asked on April 21st, 2025Wants to know about glacier cave entry on day 3 of tour
Marina TravelOperator•Written April 2025Blue Ice Cave visits are not available in May due to safety concerns from melting. Tour still includes glacier hike and amphibian boat tour.

Asked on July 25th, 2024How much hiking is involved in the Golden Circle tour? If the glacier hiking is not doable for my spouse, will we be able to walk a bit at his own pace without the group and then head back to the bus? And do other stops on the tour require uneven or strenuous walking?
Marina TravelOperator•Written July 2024The walking distances for the stops during this 3-day tour are short and on even ground/gravel paths, usually just a few minutes from where the minibus is parked. Regarding the Glacier Hiking, it involves a one-hour walk on the glacier with a certified Glacier Guide. It's important for the entire group to stay together during this activity. While it is not difficult, it requires a moderate level of effort and good stability on the crampons. Therefore, it is not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. If someone chooses not to participate in the Glacier Hiking, they will need to wait on the bus until the rest of the group completes the experience.

Traveler•Written July 2024For someone who is comfortable walking with a cane for about 1/2 hour, will this still work? Also, for arranging flights, would we need to fly in the day before and leave the day after - and do you have recommended places we should look for lodging for those days if so?
Marina TravelOperator•Written July 2024The most amount of walking would be done in the Hop-on Hop-off tour on the 5th day. But even then they can choose how much they want to walk. The other day tours bring the clients quite close to the sights and they would not need to walk very much. If they choose the 6-day tour they can just arrive on the 1st day of the tour as it includes the transfer from the airport to Reykjavik and then depart on the 6th day as it also includes the shuttle transfer from Reykjavik back to Keflavik Airport.
