Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu

    You'll land at Tribhuvan International Airport and get driven to your hotel in Kathmandu. Your tour guide will meet you to go over what's coming up on the trek. Later, if you're not too tired, head into Thamel to walk through the markets or find a place for dinner before calling it a night.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu to Pokhara to Birethanti

    This morning you're driving from Kathmandu to Pokhara, and the views along the way show off Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre and Annapurna peaks. From there, continue by car to Nayapul then walk about 20 minutes to reach Birethanti. The trek takes you through bamboo forests past a waterfall to Ramghai where you'll stop for lunch, then a gradual climb brings you to Tikhe Dhunga for the night.

  3. Day 3

    Birethanti to Ghorepani

    Start by crossing a suspension bridge, then climb a steep stone staircase with roughly 3,300 steps up to Ulleri village at 2,080m/6,823ft. After that, walk through pastures and cultivated fields, cross two clear streams, and reach Nangethanti for lunch. The afternoon brings more climbing to Ghorepani at 2,850m/9,350ft where the mountain views are really great.

  4. Day 4

    Ghorepani to Tadapani

    Get up early and hike to Poon Hill to catch the sunrise over the Himalaya with views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and Fishtail. Head back to Ghorepani for a hot breakfast, then continue walking on to Tadapani.

  5. Day 5

    Tadapani to Chhomrong

    Trek down from Tadapani with the Modi valley visible below. You'll climb high above the Modi Khola's west bank, pass through Chhomrong at the base of Himal Chuli, descend to Chhomrong Khola, then gradually climb up to reach your lodging for the night.

  6. Day 6

    Chhomrong to Kuldi Ghar

    Today is roughly 2.5 to 3 hours of trekking to Kuldi Ghar. The trail drops steeply down a rocky bank then levels out through bamboo thickets in a gorge, staying on the west side of the river. You'll pass the pasture of Tomo and Pantheon Barah with its small shrine before arriving at your destination.

  7. Day 7

    Kuldi Ghar to Annapurna Base Camp

    Trek past Machhapuchhre Base Camp (keep in mind that climbing the mountain isn't allowed) to reach Annapurna Base Camp. This area, called the Annapurna Sanctuary, is surrounded completely by mountains on all sides. The last two hours offer really nice views before you settle into the guesthouse.

    Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo

    Trek down from Annapurna Base Camp, dropping 1,700m/5,577ft to reach Bamboo at 2,345m/7,694ft on the bank of Modi Khola. You'll find several teahouse and lodge options to choose from in this area.

  9. Day 9

    Bamboo to Jhinu

    Trek down through rhododendron and bamboo fields, passing an experimental sheep farm once you've passed Khuldighar. Head on to Chhomrong then descend steeply to Jhinu where natural hot springs let you take a soak.

    Ghandruk to Pokhara

    Early in the morning, catch sunrise views of Annapurna South, Himchuli, Machhapurchre and the surrounding countryside. After breakfast, take a 2 hour easy downhill walk to Phedi, then a half hour drive gets you to Pokhara. Spend the afternoon relaxing or shopping around town on your own.

    It was tougher than I remembered from 1981, when I was 29 years Old. This time I was 65 years old (and also heavier). Everything was excellent and beautiful and I and my friends returned to Nepal 2018 for another trek with Outshine Adventure trekking company.

    • For any tour departing before February 13th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Accessible Adventure Pvt. Ltd. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 62 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
