Itinerary
- Day 1
Cusco
A KANTU PERU TOURS representative meets you at the airport and drives you to your hotel in Cusco. After you check in and rest for a bit, you'll get picked up around 12:30-13:00 for a city tour. The afternoon takes you through the Cathedral, Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), Sacsayhuaman fortress, Q'enqo (Temple of the Puma), Tambomachay water temple, and Puca Pucara red fortress. You'll wrap up around 18:30 back in the city center.

- Day 2
Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes
The day starts at 8:00 a.m. with a stop at the Sacred Valley viewpoint for great views, then you'll head to the Inca site of Pisac where your guide explains the details. From there, it's on to Urubamba for an Inca buffet lunch, followed by a visit to Ollantaytambo and the Temple of the Sun. Later in the afternoon, you'll take a train from Ollantaytambo station (about 1 hour 45 minutes) down to Aguas Calientes, where your local Machu Picchu guide will reach out with information about tomorrow.

- Day 3
Machu Picchu
After breakfast, you'll take a bus for roughly 30 minutes to reach the Machu Picchu entrance (make sure you have your original passport). You get that iconic first look at Machu Picchu, then a guided tour walks you through the highlights like the main square, sundial, and Temple of the Condor. Following the tour, you'll head back to Aguas Calientes for lunch at a local restaurant (your own expense). By mid-afternoon, you're at the train station to board back to Ollantaytambo (arriving around 20:00-22:00), where your representative takes you to Cusco.

- Day 4
Moray and Maras Salt Mines
Starting at 8:00 a.m., you'll travel through the Chinchero Highlands (about 45 minutes) to this colorful town and watch local farmers do a weaving demonstration. Then it's roughly 30 minutes to Moray, an Inca agricultural laboratory with circular terraces, and you'll pass through large barley farmlands on the way. Next comes the impressive Maras Salt Mines with their distinctive small evaporation pools. You'll be back in Cusco city center around 14:00.

- Day 5
Rainbow Mountain
Pick-up is at 4:00 a.m. for a 3.5-hour drive through impressive landscapes, canyons, and past glaciers like Ausangate. Once you reach Cusipata (4,326 m / 14,189 ft), you'll have breakfast before a 2-hour hike to Rainbow Mountain (5,020 m / 16,466 feet). You'll spend time taking photos and taking in the natural surroundings, then hike back down to Cusipata for a buffet lunch. You arrive back in Cusco city center around 16:30.

- Day 6
Lake Humantay
Early pick-up at 4:00 a.m. for roughly a 3-hour journey to the lake region. You'll stop in Mollepata town for breakfast and to grab snacks and water, then continue 45 minutes to the Soraypampa trailhead. Your tour leader gives you a quick overview before you begin an approximately 2-hour uphill hike to Lake Humantay (that turquoise lake with glacier views). You can also rent a horse instead of hiking if you prefer. After exploring the lake and the landscape around it, you descend back to your transportation for lunch. You'll arrive in Cusco city center around 18:30.

Departure
Depending on your flight departure time, staff pick you up from your hotel 2 hours 30 minutes before departure and take you to the airport. Services end once you're dropped off.
