  This is my second trip to Nepal; I previously completed the EBC, which was enjoyable. Nonetheless, the ABC provided breathtaking scenery daily! Every day brings new weather and new Fauna and Flora. My guide Layul (highly recommended) tweaked the itinerary to provide even more scenic waking-up views.Show more

Sunrise is generally the most beautiful time of day, so seeing the sunrise at Poonhill and base camp is a must if you're in the area.Show more

  The 14-day trek was too strenuous for us, possibly due to our age (65 and 60 y). It would have been preferable to schedule a rest day after 4 or 5 days of trekking. The last two days to the ABC were dangerous because we had to descend for 1000 meters on both days, which is far too much due to the risk of altitude disease. And, indeed, one of us became ill in ABC, and we had to leave right away.Show more

  The two weeks journey was challenging but enjoyable. The scenery is breathtaking with its jagged mountains, raging rivers, hillside trails, bamboo forest, and hanging bridges. The tea houses are an attraction in and of themselves. Our knowledgeable guide, Nima, is attentive to our needs and ensures our safety throughout the trek. The porters are extremely helpful, accommodating, and enjoyable to be around.Show more

  Beautiful rainforest, spectacular mountain views, and relatively easy walking. However, it was a busy trek, with some paths being overcrowded by large groups of trekkers coming from the opposite direction. Easy to book, guide was a little young, but overall a fantastic experience.Show more

  We had to change our plan due to some health conditions during our ABC trek. We were afraid that our holiday would get ruined. But there was this guide Dhanapati who was terrific enough to organize our trek in an entirely different schedule. Thank you word would be less for him; I pay massive respect to Dhanapati for making my holiday grateful. I will come back to make the next trip with Peregrine Treks and Expedition.Show more

  “We had an amazing experience with Peregrine Treks start to finish! From our pick up at the airport to the complimentary dinner in Kathmandu after the trek, everything ran smoothly. Pradip was always quick to reply to any questions we had. Mingmar was our guide and he was awesome. He was very kind, attentive and knowledgeable. We also had lots of fun playing cards with him! If we ever do another trek in Nepal we will definitely do it with Lal as our guide! As for the trek itself it was absolutely beautiful - 2 out of the 3 in our group did not handle the altitude that well (particularly on base camp day) but it was nothing serious, and definitely worth pushing through to get to base camp. A once in a lifetime experience!”Show more

  This tour was superb. I booked with slight trepidation as there are so many companies to choose from, but these guys were great. They picked me up and dropped me to the airport so my entire stay I was looked after. The hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara were very good, being central yet both were a quiet little oasis. I decided to fly back to Kathmandu as the road is in bad shape presently, and this was no trouble and they arranged this and someone to collect me from the airport. My guide was simply amazing. So caring and friendly. He genuinely wanted me to be happy. For example on one day I mentioned I was craving fruit and that evening fruit suddenly appeared. He encouraged me to stop for photos and basically made sure it felt like my holiday and to be taken at my own pace. For a few months of the year the descent from ABC is icy and slippery if it has snowed and people have already trodden the path, but Surya lent me his crampons and I was able to walk down quickly and effortlessly. The company genuinely are open to altering the itineraries so and are not offering this to make more money, but just to make sure you are happy, so can make the days longer if you like, or add a stop in Chitwan and no real significant cost. In hindsight, as someone who is happy doing 6 hour day walks in the UK, the itinerary I did could have been done two days quicker, for example. What was really nice is having the meals (a la carte from the menu in each tea house) included as these are not an insignificant cost these days, and it was nice not to have to worry about having to pay and carry so much cash etc. And the odd extra masala tea or cup of raksi was included too, such that the guide really made me feel snug when we arrived at each tea house, and pushed to get me the best rooms with views too. Pradip, the manager, knew I had not made use of my guide for half a day elsewhere so on my last day even arranged for a guide to take me on a short excursion to the monkey temple in Kathmandu, which was very sweet of him. All in all this was a superb trip, and I genuinely feel this company is excellent. (I say this having travelled on at least twenty treks in my life with companies such as Exodus, Explore, G adventures, Trek Adventures etcShow more
