    I'm happy to confirm that accommodation in Reykjavík is included on the first day of our 8-Day Iceland Northern Lights Tour. You'll be able to check in to the hotel first, enjoy the Northern Lights by Boat tour in the evening, and then return to the same hotel for the night.
    
    As for the transfer from the airport to the hotel, we don't provide this service. However, it can easily be booked separately with Flybus, which offers regular transfers between Keflavík Airport and Reykjavík.

  This trip has only two optional trips that cost extra to see the northern lights. You don't list any other nights during the 8 days except for Day 1 and Day 7?

    Yes, there are two dedicated Northern Lights viewing excursions included in the trip: Northern Lights by Boat on Day 1, and Northern Lights in a Minibus on Day 7. Both are included in the package and do not cost anything extra. It is possible to see the northern lights on other days as well, particularly in rural areas of Iceland if the skies are clear. However, the sightings cannot be guaranteed, unfortunately. Some hotels you will be staying at do northern lights wake-up call services, which will alert you if there is a chance of seeing the auroras from the hotel area.

    Are the two trips similar in where our stay locations will be? Both trips sound great, I am just trying to figure out which trip offers the most opportunities to try and see the Aurora.

    Both 8-day Ring Road and 8-day Northern Lights tour have the same main portion of the tour - 6-day Around Iceland tour. In other words, the difference between the two tours is that the 8-day Northern Lights tour includes two separate, guided outings to hunt the Northern Lights whereas the 8-day ring road tour does not include any separate and guided outings. Of course, it is still possible to witness the Northern Lights during the 8-day Ring Road tour, from the surrounding areas of your overnight hotels, provided that the lights will be visible. If you are looking for a tour that would provide you better chances to witness Aurora Borealis, probably the 8-day Northern Lights tour would be a better option for you.

  Can you please provide some insight into what types of food options are available at included meals and what types of restaurants will be accessible and have vegetarian options at each stop?

    On our multi-day tours, the price includes breakfast at the hotels booked for the duration of the tour. Breakfast is typically offered in a buffet style, allowing guests to choose from a variety of options available at the hotel during breakfast hours. Lunch and dinner, however, are not included and need to be purchased separately by the customer. During the tour, the guide will arrange stops for meals and can consider customers' food preferences and dietary restrictions when selecting dining options. Vegetarian options are available, but please note that a wide range of options might not always be possible in the rural areas of Iceland.

    When you say a wide range of options might not always be possible in rural areas, can you please provide some examples of what types of food would be available? I don't want my parents eating granola bars and cereal for 3 days because that's the only vegetarian option. If there is pizza or pasta at a minimum in the rural areas, that would be fine. I just need a better sense of what you mean by limited vegetarian options.

    Breakfast at all hotels is served buffet style. These are typically Nordic-style breakfast buffets with a selection of bread, crispbread, cereals, fruit, vegetables, cheese, boiled eggs, jams, butter, milk, juice, tea, and coffee. For lunch, the group usually stops at gas stations, roadside cafés, supermarkets, or restaurants. These generally offer sandwiches (including vegetarian options), soups, burgers, salads, snacks, drinks, and other light meals. Dinner is normally at the hotel where the group stays or at a nearby restaurant. Vegetarian options are usually available and commonly include dishes such as pasta, salads, vegetarian burgers, pizzas, and other meat-free meals. While the selection may be smaller in some of the more remote areas, your parents certainly won't be limited to cereal or granola bars for their meals.

    If you would like to add the Forest Lagoon admission to your booking, the price is 7,900 ISK (approximately 64 USD). It is possible to pay for it on the site, however, we highly recommend adding it to your booking in advance to secure your spot.

    It is fine to arrive in Iceland on September 18, as long as your flight is not arriving too late. The Northern Lights by Boat activity is scheduled for the evening, so you'll have enough time to join the activity if you arrive earlier in the day. Regarding your departure, you can also book your flight home on September 25. There are no activities scheduled on the last day of the tour, so you only need to check out of the hotel before heading to the airport.

    We recommend booking your flights directly with the airline or through a travel agency or online booking platform that best suits your needs.

    The tour starts from hotel check-in on Day 1, which can be done starting from 2 p.m. local time. The only excursion scheduled for the first day is the Northern Lights Boat tour which will start at 9 p.m. in October.

    The 8-Day Iceland Northern Lights tour ends with hotel check-out on the morning of Day 8. Guided activities are from Day 1 to Day 7, with the last included service being accommodation on night of Day 7. On Day 8, there is no guided program, and the guide/driver will not accompany the group. You will check out of the hotel and make your way to your next destination or airport according to your own schedule.

    There is a great chance you will be accommodated at Hotel Island Spa and Wellness, but we cannot guarantee it as it depends on room availability. If fully booked, we will accommodate you in a similar hotel like Hotel Reykjavik Lights.

    The price for 2 adults and 2 children will be 1,364,960 ISK (~11,112$). If you cannot find an option to choose 2 rooms - no need to worry, the price does not depend on the number of rooms. So once you create a booking, you can simply contact us and let us know how many and which kind of rooms you want! We will add this information into the booking and send you an updated voucher.

    We do not offer airport pickup or drop-off services. You may book a Flybus transfer from Keflavík International Airport to a designated pickup location in Reykjavík. We do not provide accommodation booking services outside of the tour dates.

    Do you mean the pick up locations are hotels guests will stay? Are you going to tell me which hotel I would stay? Once I arrived at the airport I would get on the Flybus and be dropped at any of these hotels?

    Usually, our customers stay at Hotel Island Spa and Wellness. If they do not have availability, we would accommodate them in a different hotel. We send out the tour itinerary 7-14 days before the tour.
