We were a small group, there were 7 of us with Jói, he brought us to all the spots, always had a backup plan ready incase things were closed (which happened because we went over New Years) but the food everywhere was delicious! The sights were insane, Iceland is so unbelievably gorgeous you truly felt you were in a dream or simulation. All of the experiences and memories I can thank to Jói!! We always ate together as a group which was really nice and Jói ensured everything was held to a high standard! Thank you Jói for everything!! The tour was unforgettable

The reason for removing 2 stars are due to the tour company and Tourradar not keeping the tour description updated regarding the ice cave here. It seems to be updated now but it clearly showed that we have a dedicated Katla or kther ice cave on the day 2 and the glacier hining on the day 3. As the description said, I expected a lot as that would have been a highlight of the tour and the main reason I chose this tour not the others that states clearly don't have the ice caving experience.
At least the tour company explained that it wasn't their fault that the description wasn't updated and denied any compensation due to a wrong description, even though we had a chat on the message beforehand. I guess it slipped out for them to check it thoroughly. Sent me to complain it to Tourradar but they never got back. Quite disappointing on that end.

This experience is really for everyone. As a solo traveller I was a little nervous, but there were other solo travellers as well as couples and groups and we all bonded in such a short time. The places we went to were amazing. Our guide/driver Sindri was truly awesome, he covered so much information and really kept us entertained throughout. Day 1 we covered many amazing sites throughout the day with plenty of cool picture opportunities. Later we went to the hotel which was very clean. After dinner, we were able to see the northern lights from behind our hotel. And our guide took the BEST pictures for us with his professional camera. Day 2 was my favorite we saw a really cool site. Then we went to the glacier hike which was amazing for everyone even people who have never hiked a day in their life. That night we saw the northern lights extremely well. Day 3, we saw a few more stops and concluded a really amazing trip. Highly recommend. However, be aware that there are many different sites to book on so there was confusion with people who booked different length trips. So if you book a 4-day trip, it is actually an extension of this trip and you will be picked up by a different guide.

While the journey itself was filled with breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable moments, there were a major hiccup along the way that I cannot but mention.
I booked my trip through the aggregator Tourradar, with Arctic Adventures serving as the tour provider. Let me start by praising Arctic Adventures for delivering a top-notch experience. The professionalism, knowledge, and friendliness of their tour lead, Mr Sindri, truly made a difference throughout the tour.
However, I cannot ignore the unfortunate booking mishap that occurred through Tourradar. Due to an error on their part, the wrong booking dates were sent to Arctic Adventures. Consequently, I was left without any tour details until just one day before my flight. Despite multiple attempts to rectify the situation, I received no response from Tourradar until I resorted to public shaming on LinkedIn.
Fortunately, the head of Customer Support from Arctic Adventures stepped in and went above and beyond to fix the situation promptly. Their swift action and dedication in identifying the root cause of the issue saved my trip from potential disaster. I truly appreciate their efforts in accommodating a smooth experience, despite the screw-up caused by Tourradar.
In summary, my trip to Iceland was an absolute delight thanks to the incredible services provided by Arctic Adventures. However, I cannot overlook the disappointing experience with Tourradar, as the booking confusion marred what could have been a flawless journey.
Just be cautious when booking through aggregators and double-check all the details to avoid any potential issues. Nonetheless, I highly recommend Arctic Adventures for an unforgettable Icelandic adventure, as they have the expertise and dedication to deliver an exceptional experience.

Sindri was an incredible, flexible, and knowledgeable guide who truly cares about his travelers and making sure they have a great trip while getting a full picture of Iceland. When he overheard our group’s interest in riding horses he immediately rearranged the schedule to make sure we could do that. He also made the best thing Iceland has to offer a priority… PUFFINS!!!! While visiting the puffins is not currently part of this tour, he made sure we were able to visit them. It would be ideal if they were included in every tour! If you are looking to come to Iceland, either alone or with others, this is the best possible way to explore!!

I only wish we could have spent a full day in Akureyri and traveled to Grundarfjordur!

We experienced all sorts of weather, we faced snow storm (yes storm in Iceland and because of that some activities on that day was cancelled), we hiked mountains, walked in thousand year old glacier, chased waterfalls, made frequent stops along the road with no civilization in sight, saw the aurora on our last night, visited one village to another, changed accommodations every night, tasted different icelandic soups and came face to face with icelandic horses.
I am back home now but I'm still in awe that I was able to experience such things. This trip to Iceland was supposed to be a treat to myself for my 30th birthday but what I got was more than that. It was an experience of a lifetime, an adventure that outstands all my other travels and a beautiful story to share.

He made some additional stops at interesting places and gave us stories about his personal experiences growing up & living in Iceland. The planned sights visited were incredible and the hotels we stayed at were in great locations. The included activities were things you could only do in a handful of places like Glacier Hiking, Hiking to top of dormant Volcano Crater & Arctic Whale Watching
Really enjoyed the stay and tour at the traditional Icelandic homestead. The museum was a pleasant surprise.

His knowledge of the island's history added to the experience. Unfortunately the weather caused some difficulties, with our whale watching day cancelled, but that is certainly uncontrollable.
Days 7 and 8 were spent almost entirely on the bus and were not nearly as interesting. I wish I would have stayed with the six day.
The communication before the trip was not sufficient regarding the schedule, what to bring on the trip and any depth about the sites attended. Had it been clearer, I would have made many different choices.

He told us many historic, geological and scientific stuff, and also Icelandic legends during the driving time, making the driving time more enjoyable. Our guide, Sindri was very informative about Iceland and its history and culture. His attention to detail and his consideration for our tour members was superb. This was a great tour as a solo traveller because there were plenty of stops to experience Icelandic’s natural beauty, The only downfall was the weather change in the latter part of the tour, which prevented the whale watching tour.

Our tour guide as well as driver Diddy was a star, surprised to see his knowledge and humour, and a thorough professional, surely a gem for improving Iceland tourism. He was the backbone for this 6 day trip.
Iceland experience is definitely one of my top rated trips, unique landscapes and unique experiences with a sense of understanding the natures best play. All the days were meticulously planned with unique things to do every day with some surprise pleasing stops by Diddy. The majestic falls, tectonic plates separation, geysers and geothermal areas, glacier hiking, whale watching, magnificent icebergs in lagoon/sea, relaxing at Vok baths, volcano craters/lava fields and Icelandic horses stable visit are definitely very unique for me to understand this land of ice and fire. The stay/accommodation and breakfast were very decent. You have wifi on board which is highly useful as well.
Some constructive feedbacks - improvements need to be done for day 2 accommodation at near Hofn, place was magnificent in between valleys and river but property needs maintenance, it was quiet dusty. The travel minibus needs upgradation, there was breakdown in one of the days and the main door was not closing well with air leaking creating sound. All our luggage's were transported in a separate small trailer attached to this minibus, our bag used to end up all with dust by the end of the day, my bag got damaged with major scratches, I had to inform Diddy so that this does not progress and I end up with broken bag, who obviously helped. This needs to be sorted.
My experience has been very positive and unique and I shall definitely recommend this trip to anybody who wishes to go on a ring road trip. Thanks to all the people involved.

Iceland is a beautiful country and ole Siggi is a tour guide who should be paid top dollar for his incredible knowledge of Iceland, history, friendly personality, great sense of humor and driving skills. We had an imported driver for last day and she was fine, but Siggi was the perfect ambassador for Iceland who made for many happy memories that will be with us for the rest of our lives. On the practical side, the trip covers a lot of ground and the pace is well managed. But don't expect to stay in one place for several hours to admire the view. The amount of hiking and walking was very good. Lodging was good to very good and food was fine. Menus are somewhat limited which is common in Iceland due to the location and climate. Do dress for rain and wind and in layers as the weather varies a lot. Be aware that you will likely be sharing a bus with people from many different cultures and that patience is a virtue. Thanks Siggi! and best wishes from Tom and Kathy...

Spectacular scenery and unforgettable experiences. Travelling in a small group of 18 ensured personal attention and generated a great camaraderie. But the BEST aspect of our tour, by far, was our guide Sindri. His knowledge of everything Icelandic is phenomenal. He is organised, informative and hilarious! Great value for money too with comfy accommodation.

He also takes time to get to know the people in the tour. Overall an unforgettable experience.

Our guide Sindri was perfect - very knowledgable about Iceland and history (amongst many other locations in the world) and had the perfect balance of humor and personality to keep the group moving. There is a lot packed into the tour but personally I felt the itinerary was perfect. The driving did not seem to be too much at all as SIndri and the group interacted extremely well together - sharing stories, experiences and pictures. The accomodations were good - not luxary, but extremely comfortable - exactly what is advertised. The food and restaraunts we were great - the biggest surprise for me on the trip is how expensive food and drink were. Expect to pay $25-$30 for a main and $10 for a beer. All of the excursions were great - nothing strenuous - but be prepared for changing weather conditions (we had fabulous weather by the way), but it goes from windy/rainy/chilly/sunny fairly quickly and varies across the locations. My take away is (for October) its more about rain proof/wind proof clothing than pure warm clothes. 2-3 layers is perfect. No need to heavy/bulky warm clothes. Oct was a great time to visit (still plenty of daylight) and sun was warm (when its out).
All of the excursions were also a success - glacier hikes, northern lights, whales and lava flows! I was a single traveler as were several in our group. We got along extremely well and this is a large part due to Sindri (the guide), the format of the tour, and also the people. Amazing experience - do not hesitate at all to book.
The tour was a great way to see all of Iceland. It had way too much climbing & hiking. The itinerary started an easy walk but it was a climb.

A lot was packed into the six days which is what we wanted, and definitely feel like we have fallen in love with Iceland! Particular highlights were ice caving and whale watching. However every day we stopped in multiple interesting places. So many extras were added in that I was not expecting from the itinerary I had previously seen. For example multiple hikes and a visit to an Iceland horse farm. The hikes were generally easy going, however Sindri our guide was always catching up with us to make sure everyone was ok and helping out those needing any assistance.
Our safety was always kept in mind. On one of our first days there were strong winds along a stretch of road we were due to drive down, which meant we had to stay put for a while we waited for these to die down allowing us to go onwards safety. We stopped somewhere with toilets and refreshments available and in this instance I think we were all glad we had gone with a tour rather than self drive! There were plenty of stops and regular toilet breaks so it never felt like we were sat on the minibus for too long. The accommodation was great, a couple of very nice hotels in particular - much nicer than we ever would have booked ourselves!!
Overall we loved the whole experience. It was great to be in a small group of other travellers and to have local information and stories from our amazing guide. Iceland was amazing, however our guide Sindri was the cherry on top! He never switched off, in a good way! He filled our days with local information and stories and made all our time enjoyable and interesting. We could not be more grateful as I feel we got so much more from our trip than we would have if we had self driven. Seriously, whatever he's being paid, double it!!!

The tour and especially our guide made it all possible. I learned a lot about Iceland on the trip thanks to our guide Sindri who could answer every question and kept us listing throughout, clinging to his words.
Last but not least I learned to appreciate the dry Islandic humor and that there are no Pinguins in Iceland but Puffins.
