- ROSA· May 7th, 2024It was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Our tour guide, Guillermo, was very knowledgeable and fun and made our experience wonderful, especially since we took the adventure tour and are over 50 and not athletes. He was great at sharing his knowledge of the indigenous groups that lived throughout the different locations we visited throughout our travels. My husband and I highly recommend this tour if you are into interacting with nature and want to do more than just trek through the Inca path, We biked through the mountain area and got to see the landscape of lush trees and mountains. We the zip-line, which allowed us to soar through an open valley of trees and open sky. We also tried our hand at rafting, which was fun but required a bit of concentration since the river currents were strong and fast-moving. And, of course, we trekked through the Inca trail, which was magnificent, physically challenging, and a tad scary but worth every step. I do recommend if you are trekking, to look for power drinks like Gatorade, which help replenish the loss of electrolytes. Hydration is essential, especially around mid-day or when you are sweating excessively. In addition to the tour, the places we stayed at were beautiful and perfect for recharging ourselves. In truth, we rested each evening so well that the next day, I barely felt any discomfort or fatique; when I did get tired, it was usually due to dehydration and not from poor rest.Show more
- Elizabeth· July 8th, 2021Our tour guide Wilbert was absolutely amazing and made this tour 100% better. He knew everything and was able to answer any questions we had. During our mountain hike, we passed by many different plants, some we had never seen before. He knew all their uses, modern and ancient, and their history! He was very accommodating any time we had a problem. During any breaks we had, he would tell us stories about the Inca and about his history. He gave the tour a very personal feel that I know we all appreciated. In the end, all I can say was this was an absolutely amazing tour and Wilbert was an amazing guide!Show more

Asked on May 10th, 2025Is tour 2 included in the Machu Picchu visit?
Tierras VivasOperator•Written May 2025During the Inca Trail trek, the entrance ticket includes access to Circuit 3, which covers the lower part of Machu Picchu. Upon arriving at Inti Punku (the Sun Gate), you will walk down toward Machu Picchu, where you can take a panoramic photo from the Guardian House. After that, you'll continue down to the main gate of Machu Picchu. From there, you will exit and then re-enter through Gate 3, which gives you access to Circuit 3.
