  Mysterious Egypt & Red Sea — September 7–19, 2026 At this point, we are not sure whether we would book another trip with Wingbuddy. Unfortunately, that is not the impression a travel company wants its clients to take home or share with their friends and family. Egypt itself was an incredible destination, with unforgettable temples, tombs, pyramids, camels and the spectacular Red Sea. Our tour guide, Islam, was excellent—very knowledgeable, informative and passionate about Egypt’s history. The transfers to and from the airport, hotels, and excursions with their drivers were also well organized. We appreciated the three meals a day. Unfortunately, our experience with Wingbuddy fell short of what we expected for the price we paid. Our disappointment began before the trip. Due to political tensions and the Government of Canada’s travel advisory, we asked Wingbuddy to cancel our trip and provide a credit so we could travel to Egypt at another time. We were not asking for a refund, and our deposit was still pending and had not even been charged to our credit card. Wingbuddy refused to provide either a credit or cancellation, which left a very poor first impression. The hotel accommodations were inconsistent, including one property, Radisson Blu, undergoing renovations with construction dust and noise and a location where we did not feel comfortable as a tourist going out independently. The four-day Jaz Celebrity Nile cruise boat was outdated and needed significant renovations. Our bathroom leaked after every shower, the shower temperature was inconsistent, the air conditioning could not cool the room below 22°C despite temperatures around 44°C outside, Wi-Fi did not work, and the pool was small and extremely cold. The food was basic and repetitive, with no nightly entertainment. The staff, however, were friendly and beautiful views along the sailing. The train selected by Wingbuddy was a HUGE disappointment. It was extremely basic, dirty and uncomfortable, with dusty seats, heavily scratched and dirty windows, air conditioning thermostats broken, consistently blowing cold air, and very primitive toilet facilities. We later learned that newer VIP Express and Talgo trains were available for approximately $20 more per passenger. Knowing that, we question why Wingbuddy chose such an outdated, uncomfortable option for its clients. Overall, Egypt itself was an incredible destination but we feel Wingbuddy could have done considerably better with the selection of hotels, the train and the Nile cruise. These choices significantly affected the overall quality and comfort of the experience.Show more

  Wingbuddy booked our airline reservations, flying from Boston to Doha, Qatar on March 2, 2026, enroute to Cairo, Egypt. We were booked on the Mysterious Egypt and Red Sea tour. We bought insurance with the company's recommended insurance plan. The Qatar airspace was closed on 2/28/26 due to the Iranian war; we received no communication from Wingbuddy to change our flight so we could make the first day of our tour. We cancelled 2 days before our trip because we could not change the airline reservation; we filed a claim with Battleface, and the claim was denied. Qatar airline offered refunds, due to the cancelled flight, up to March 6, however we could not get the refund for the flight because we did not book it. Customer service with this company, and care for their clients, is very poor. BUYER BEWARE: do not buy Wingbuddy's recommended insurance company-Battle face!Show more
