  I booked a tour with Say Hueque, trusting them to provide a safe experience. The company failed to warn us about the risks of altitude sickness in any way. Their original itinerary had us ascending to 4,300 meters at the Tatio Geysers after only 30 hours of acclimation, far below the recommended minimum of 48 hours. When we missed a flight and informed them well in advance, they failed to warn us that our acclimation time would now be reduced even further—to just 18 hours. As a direct result, both my partner and I suffered severe altitude sickness, including crippling headaches, nausea, shortness of breath, and concussion-like symptoms that lasted for five days—at times leaving us unable to read or even stand properly. When we raised our concerns, the company blamed us instead of taking responsibility for their poor planning. They refused to issue any refund, despite their negligence directly putting our health at risk. Beyond this, the company displayed gross incompetence throughout the trip, including: --Failing to provide bilingual drivers, despite us paying for them. --Double-booking our hotels, leaving us stranded. --A so-called 24-hour emergency line that went unanswered—and when someone did pick up, they were unable to communicate in English as advertised. (See attached photos.) This company is reckless, unprofessional, and unsafe. They care more about taking your money than delivering a competent, let alone safe, experience. Avoid them at all costs.Show more

  We really enjoyed seeing and photographing all the new plants and animals, glaciers, mountains, buildings, museums, and people. We took 8,000 pictures. Everyone was helpful and I know my Spanish must sound terrible since tense, gender, case, and pronunciation are all off. The nicest hotel was Hosteria Las Torres but you must reserve early if you want a cheap room. They had the best breakfast but the lunches and dinners are expensive. You can eat at the bar for a lot less and the meals are large enough for 2 people to share so the cost is very reasonable and the hours are better for those of us from the USA. We also had a good time at Two Hotel since the manager lived in NJ for 5 years and he helped us out when the Tango show missed our reservation. The manager gave us the largest and best room in the hotel (906). That was nice of him! The best excursion was at Torres del Paine since they had a driver, car, and guide and a lunch. All the excursions should say if there is a car for the whole day or just for delivery and pick up or not at all and if there is a lunch. That would make planning a lot simpler.   The efficiency of all the logistics, pick ups, hotels and flights was our highlight of travelling with you. Our favorite hotel is the Higueras in Valparaiso because of it´s location, food, décor and staff. The full paine rib trip was the best excursion. Connie, our guide at Las Torres was awesome.   The best of traveling with you was the immediate responses we got from the very beginning of the planning all the way through the entire trip. We were able to make a last minute change and you made sure it went through. Thank you for being available when we needed clarifications on our trip!!! Knowing you were a text away was very comforting. All the hotels were fine. Cannot really say one stood out.Same thing with excursions. They varied somewhat and the guides were very different. We really did enjoy the morning tour we added in Atacama although the climb up the hill was a bit of a challenge. Each guide was very different. Some were better than others but no one stood out as do not use again. There was a different way to see penguins. Might have tried that now that we know the Magdalena Island tour is often cancelled due to weather.Show more
