- AGary_S· July 18th, 2025This was a great tour to see the highlights of Istanbul and Cappadocia. The tour company did a great job picking us up and transferring us from place to place during the trip without any issues. Our tour guides were really good, especially Ümit in Cappadocia. He did a great job managing the tours to make sure we got the best experience every day. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and was always available to help us out with any side tours or other activities we wanted to do. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see highlights of Istanbul and Cappadocia. I would definitely recommend doing the hotel upgrade in Cappadocia - the Melekler Evi was a little too rustic for us. We did have dinner one night at the Dere Suites and it was a much nicer place (great food and drinks as well).Show moreTrip date: July 2025Review collected by Tour Altinkum Travel
Nina· July 12th, 2024The tour was AMAZING! Thank you Tour Altinkum Travel for taking care of us, organizing every single detail of our trip, and making us feel at home every step of the way. Turkey stole our hearts, especially Cappadocia. Our stay at the Fresco Cave Hotel was so cool and nothing like we tried before. Kudos to the whole team especially Kerem, Sedef, and Berkay for taking care of all the logistics and of course our tour guide Hatice, who made our adventuring so enjoyable, even at 35 degrees heat. Teşekkürler, we will be back in Turkey again soon! ❤️??Show moreTrip date: July 2024

Your feedback always motivates us to serve you better. We are looking forward to seeing you again. Kind Regards,Trip date: May 2023 - DFDiego· May 18th, 2023The overall experience was good. Sometimes not enough time to walk around to take pictures, especially in the first stop where we had 10 minutes to take pictures (Göreme Tarihi park). Excellent explanations and attitude of the guides in all the tours. Cons: airport transfer drivers very courteous but do not speak or understand English. We were taken to the wrong hotel and had to wait 30 minutes to get a taxi who ended up ripping us off.Show more

Omar· January 20th, 2021Let me just say that they’re a third party agency, that set you up with local tours. Avoiding the inconvenience of hoping you aren’t the only person on the tour....or else it gets canceled. But with this particularly tour, it’s always guaranteed departure. No matter what, which is awesome!!! (: Everything went really smooth, they have somebody you can talk to at any hour of the day, and they’re very friendly & help! The cave hotel in Cappadocia was just stunning to say the least! Definitely recommend, and won’t hesitate to book with them again 🙏🏼Show more

And I can say it was worth every penny. well organized from start until the end. The explanations of the tour guides were very successful. The best part of the hotels we stayed in was that they had a central location. I can recommend this tour to anyone. You can be sure you won't regret itShow moreTrip date: January 2020
- JBJeremy· September 6th, 2019Istanbul leg of the tour was spot on. Incredibly knowledgeable and fun guide. One guide to to a couple! No following a flag around in a large gaggle. Transfers to airport and flights went like clockwork for the second half in central Turkey.Show more

Everything went well right from pick up and drop. Never had to wait and was always on time. The hotel provided was excellent and food on board was good. They did provide vegetarian options too. I was a bit skeptical as tour altikum quoted a lesser price than others but service was excellent. I would strongly recommend them. Overall a good way to see Istanbul.Show more

Asked on December 23rd, 2025We are interested in a 4 day three night trip from Istanbul to Cappadocia. Going to Ephesus and Pamukkale if possible too.
Tour Altinkum TravelOperator•Written December 2025May I kindly ask if you have a total of 4 days, or if you are able to add a few more days to your trip? This package currently includes only Istanbul and Cappadocia. However, if you have additional time, we can extend the program to include Ephesus and Pamukkale at the end of the tour.

Asked on October 8th, 2025what's included in the Gold Package accommodation is a cave room or stone room with private bath room with a view is there elevator / we have difficulty with stairs How much for the Hot Air Balloon total new price for above
Tour Altinkum TravelOperator•Written October 2025Silver & Gold Packages: The tour offers two hotel categories with different prices — Silver and Gold packages. You can select your preferred package on the platform when making your reservation. Accommodation Details: Silver Package Hotels: 3 nights in Cappadocia at Melekler Evi Cave Hotel or a similar property. Gold Package Hotels: 3 nights in Cappadocia at Dere Suites or a similar property. Upgrade to our Gold Package Hotels for an additional $150 per person (in a double room). All rooms include a private bathroom in both packages. Most hotels in Cappadocia are cave-style properties, not modern buildings, so elevators are not available, and stairs are common. Hot Air Balloon: The hot air balloon flight costs 250 USD per person, including hotel pick-up and drop-off, for August 2026.

Asked on September 18th, 2025We are travelling from Europe to Australia in November and have a stop over in Istanbul. We have been lucky enough to have already visited Turkey but did not get to Cappadocia. As we will be at the airport, would it be possible to join the tour at the airport in Istanbul and finish to tour back at the airport? We would not require hotel transfers. If this is satisfactory could you please let us know the cost.
Tour Altinkum TravelOperator•Written September 2025Sure, it is possible. Would you like to stay 3 nights in Cappadocia? In that case, the first day would be your arrival day, the second and third days would be your tour days, and the fourth day would be your departure day. Your flights will be from and to Istanbul Airport. We will provide accommodation, tours, and airport transfers, while domestic flight tickets are not included in the package. You can book your Istanbul–Kayseri flights on your own for this package.

Tour Altinkum TravelOperator•Written August 2025Sure, we can arrange a hotel with a quad room. After you make the reservation, you may mention this request. As it will be an early booking, I believe we will be able to secure availability for the quad rooms.

Asked on July 14th, 2025Since the tour starts on day 1, how early does our flight have to arrive there? We are coming from san Francisco and there is only 1 flight that would arrive 11:45m. Alternatively, we can come 1 day earlier and will arrive 5:45pm but the tour probably won't start that late so do we lose the benefit we paid for for transportation from airport to tour location?
Tour Altinkum TravelOperator•Written July 2025The pick-up time for Day 1 of the Treasures of Istanbul tour is around 9:00 AM, and we will drive you to the airport at the end of the tour. Therefore, we recommend that you arrive one day earlier and arrange your hotel in Istanbul in advance. Please note that we do not provide airport pick-up on the first day of this package. We offer pick-up only from centrally located hotels in the Sultanahmet, Taksim, or Karaköy areas. You may choose to book a hotel in one of these neighborhoods for convenience.

Traveler•Written July 2025The tour said optional hot air balloon ride which is something we want to do but I don't see it on the itiniery. What day would that be?

Clare
Traveler•Written July 2025Also, how do we know what time our flight from istanbul to cappadocia is? Will we get to choose if the tour is booked or thats something that you arrange for us?
Tour Altinkum TravelOperator•Written July 2025The hot air balloon flight can be added on the 2nd or 3rd morning of your itinerary. The price varies depending on the season, so please let us know your expected travel dates, and we'll be happy to provide the exact rate. Since it is a sunrise flight, it will not affect your daily tour schedule. We will arrange your domestic flight tickets. On your first day, after the Istanbul tour, we typically use flight TK2022, which departs at 20:05 (IST) and arrives at 21:40 (ASR). For your last day: day 04th - we are flexible — you may choose a morning, noon, or evening flight back to Istanbul depending on your schedule, and we will arrange the flights accordingly.

Asked on June 23rd, 2025Can we book the balloon ride with a 4 day trip?
Tour Altinkum TravelOperator•Written June 2025Sure, we can arrange a hot air balloon ride as an optional extra. The price is $300 USD per person, including hotel pick-up and drop-off, for flights in September. Once you complete your reservation, feel free to let us know if you'd like to book the balloon ride. As it is a sunrise flight, it will not affect your tour schedule for the day.

Asked on April 19th, 2025Could you please describe when we returning into Istanbul 11 may to Airport? I am going to book tickets from Istanbul immediately and which airport we arriving to from Cappadocia?
Tour Altinkum TravelOperator•Written April 2025We generally use flight TK2015, which departs from Kayseri (ASR) at 13:20 and arrives in Istanbul (IST) at 14:55 for the return leg. However, if that flight is fully booked, we reserve seats on alternative flights, which may be scheduled for later in the afternoon. Therefore, I cannot guarantee the exact flight time in advance. We will confirm your flight details as soon as possible after your booking is finalized. For this reason, I recommend waiting to book any onward flights from Istanbul until we confirm your Cappadocia–Istanbul flight. Please also note that we generally use Kayseri Airport (ASR) for departures from Cappadocia.

Asked on March 29th, 2025do i book hotel in istanbul one night before the tour and one night after? during the first day meet-up, do i check out from the hotel and meet the tour guide with my luggage for the whole trip or what?
Tour Altinkum TravelOperator•Written March 2025On the first day of the tour, we will pick you up from your hotel and begin the tour. After the tour, we will drive you to Istanbul Airport for your domestic flight to Cappadocia. Please note that you will need to check out in the morning and bring your luggage with you. On the last day of the tour, we provide only airport transfer service and flight ticket. If you require accommodation in Istanbul, you will need to arrange your hotel separately. Istanbul accommodation is not included in this tour package, so you will need to book it yourself.
