London
You've got the day to yourself in London, or you can join optional tours if you prefer. Start this morning by heading to Parliament and Big Ben, then stop by Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace if those interest you. After lunch, Windsor Castle or the Tower of London could be your next stop, depending on what you want to see. This evening you'll have a traditional dinner, and then you're heading out on a guided nighttime Thames River cruise to see all the illuminated landmarks along the water.

London to Brussels
Make your way to the railway station this morning and board the Eurostar train bound for Brussels. The train ride takes you about 200 miles across the channel. Once you arrive in Brussels, you'll switch to your motorcoach for a quick orientation tour of the city so you can get your bearings.

Brussels to Frankfurt Area
Travel into Germany toward the Rhine River and enjoy an included scenic cruise along the water. From there, continue by motorcoach to the Frankfurt area. The drive covers approximately 277 miles and takes most of the day.

Frankfurt Area - Rothenburg - Innsbruck Area
Today you'll pass through the medieval town of Rothenburg along the Romantic Road, where you can see the old towered gates, battlements, town squares, and half-timbered houses with decorated fountains scattered throughout. From there the drive continues toward the Innsbruck area. It's a long travel day covering about 367 miles, so you'll be spending most of the time on the road.

Innsbruck Area to Venice
Cross the Europa Bridge and Brenner Pass while you take in the Alpine views from the road. Then you arrive in Venice and board a boat that takes you along the Giudecca Canal to Piazza San Marco, where you see the palaces and narrow streets from the water. Free time lets you wander around and soak in the city's character. If you're interested, you can take an optional gondola ride through the canals or visit a glassblowing workshop to see how artisans practice this traditional craft. The journey covers around 245 miles.

By the afternoon you'll reach Lake Lucerne, where the alpine surroundings really start to show. The drive covers approximately 311 miles total.

Lucerne Area to Dijon
Start your morning exploring the Old Town of Lucerne and walking around the historic center. In the afternoon, you have an optional excursion available that includes a funicular ride and then a ride on the world's first double-decker open-top aerial cable car up to the summit of Stanserhorn if you want something more active. Later you're heading into France, driving toward Dijon for the night. The journey covers around 236 miles, so you'll be traveling most of the evening.
