Kigali
You'll touch down at Kigali airport and get picked up for the drive to your hotel. After settling in, the afternoon is open so you can either relax at the hotel or start wandering around Kigali on your own terms.

Kigali to Kinigi
The day begins with a historical tour through Kigali, including a stop at the Genocide Memorial Centre. Grab lunch in the city, then drive out to Kinigi at the base of the Virunga Volcanoes where your lodge sits near Volcanoes National Park Headquarters.

- Day 3
Volcanoes National Park - Gorilla Trekking & Twin Lakes
Head out early to Volcanoes National Park for mountain gorilla tracking with your guides. You'll spend about an hour watching the gorillas in their natural habitat, which is the main event of the morning. After that, you'll get back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, check out the twin lakes Ruhondo and Bulera, and then swing by the local crafts market to browse what local artisans have made.

Kinigi to Kigali
Leave the Virunga foothills and drive south toward Kigali on a scenic route through coffee, tea and banana plantations. Once you arrive back in Kigali, you'll head to the airport for your departure.
